Hey scl, looks like Bruce might be heading back your way.

Rumor at btx - and pretty much confirmed by a poster whose word is bond - is September at Harvey's Outdoor Arena in Lake Tahoe.

...

Same poster broadly hinted that there were more casino shows to come...

See ya at Mohegan, Nelly?

NO FUCKING WAY :youmademecrylikeababy(tears of joy)....Lefty,if this is true...Well I don't know if you are aware of this or not. But I just happen to own a home in South Lake Tahoe. I LOVE going to shows up there. Although their idea of an ampitheatre is a parking lot behind the casino where they throw up a stage, some seats and a fence. But it's great because it's still less than 10,000 and Tahoe in the summer is gorgeous. Oh lefty ya make a grown man cry. I have dreamed about the Stones playing in Tahoe one day. This might be just as good.(if true)...Just thinking about it makes me so happy,I'm typing this with my...fingers. Who do ya think I am Joey? Better seen on weed!

Screw the stadium gigs anyway (although his PNC Park show was incredible).  His Flood Aid show at Heinz Hall with Joey G and the Houserockers was incredible.  I could have sneezed on him.  It was the most awesome thing I had ever witnessed, being that close in a small venue.

Well here is one rumoured tour schedule from BTX,that looks fairly reasonable:

Aug 30 Roadhouse at the Lakefront, Milwaukee, WI
Sept 2 Allstate Arena, Rosemont, IL
Sept 4 Crisler Arena, Ann Arbor, MI
Sept 6 Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY
Sept 7 Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre, PA
Sept 9 Sovereign Bank Arena, Trenton, NJ
Sept 12 DCU Center, Worcester, MA
Sept 13 Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT
Sept 17-18,
21, 24-25 Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
Sept 27 Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ
Sept 29 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore, MD
Oct 1 Colonial Center, Columbia, SC
Oct 4 New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, LA
Oct 5 Frank Erwin Center, Austin, TX
Oct 7 AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
Oct 8 Ford Center, Oklahoma City, OK
Oct 11 Sprint Center, Kansas City, MO
Oct 13 Pepsi Arena, Denver, CO
Oct 16 Jobing.com Arena, Glendale, AZ
Oct 19 MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, NV
Oct 22 Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, CA
Oct 26, 28 Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA
Oct 31 Los Angeles Sports Arena, Los Angeles, CA

Tahoe might be a dream. But realisticly I don't see it. While they have been trying to upgrade the talent level of the shows up there in recent years. Springsteen would be by far the biggest name ever. Plus the capacity of the place might be about 5,000. Pretty small by tour standards. Plus I HATE  the Shoreline in Mtn. View. Caught my first Bruce show there on the TOL tour. Haven't been back too many times since....Having said all that,if this schedule was true,I could see myself doing  some or all of the last 4-6 shows. Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

Looks like the days of Stadium Bruce are over.
In the US anyway...

Lot of those arenas - Ann Arbor, Trenton, Wilkes-Barre, Mohegan, Baltimore, Worcester - are sub 15K.

If it does happen the Trenton show will be a mighty tough ticket.

Well these are still just rumours Lefty and I much prefer the Tahoe rumour as opposed to playing the Shoreline Ampitheatre locally....Meg,yeah I guess it's easy for me to take this stuff for granted, but for someone like you who doesn't live in metropolis and has to travel,it's more difficult. So,the answer to your question is to go both east and west. Smiley...Ok that's probably not reasonable and truthfully,if I could ever swing an MSG show that would be killer. In the meantime,we'll just dare to dream.

If only it were that simple. Believe me, all the offers are genuinely greatly appreciated, and if I was independently wealthy, didnt have any domestic responsibilities and getting time off work wasnt an issue, I would be at EVERY show.

May 13 / The Stone Pony / Asbury Park, NJ
Notes: While the Magic tour is about to ramp up from arenas to stadiums, Bruce has been spending this break doing some serious downsizing -- last week it was the Count Basie Theatre, and last night it was all the way down to the Stone Pony. Bruce was back on the Pony stage for another school benefit on Tuesday night, once again backed by Bobby Bandiera's band (with horns), and joined by Southside Johnny and Patti Scialfa. By now we're familiar with the basics of the annual set-- classic covers like "634-5789," "Seven Nights to Rock," and "Twist and Shout" intermingling with houserockin' rave-ups from Bruce's own catalog -- this year clocking in at two hours and 20 minutes. "Hold On, I'm Coming" was a particular stand-out, with Bruce and Bobby doing their best Sam & Dave. Patti had a great turn on "It Takes Two," with Bobby shining on the guitar solo, and her vocal on "All I Have to Do is Dream" was another highlight. As for originals, "Girls in Their Summer Clothes" was added to the mix, and this private benefit for parents and teachers continues to bring out some otherwise oft-overlooked tracks. There was "Cover Me," "Rendezvous," "The Fever," "From Small Things," "Pink Cadillac," and an all-too-rare dip into the '92 songbook for "Man's Job." "Thunder Road" may not be a rarity, but try it played solo-electric in the intimate confines of the Pony -- ah, if only we all could -- as a small crowd sings along. Soundchecked but not played: "Sugar, Sugar," "Ain't Too Proud to Beg."

Setlist:
634-5789
Cadillac Ranch
Cover Me
Two Hearts
Spirit in the Night
Hold On, I'm Comin'
It Takes Two (w/ Patti)
Rendezvous
Girls in Their Summer Clothes
Seven Nights to Rock
Tell Him (w/ Patti)
Time Is on My Side (w/ Patti)
Waitin' on a Sunny Day
The Fever (w/ SSJ)
Talk to Me (w/ SSJ)
Darlington County
Fram Small Things
Man's Job
Pink Cadillac
All I Have to Do Is Dream (w/ Patti)
Detroit Medley
Tenth Avenue Freeze-out
Thunder Road
Glory Days
Twist & Shout

The Fever!? Fuck. That's awesome. Cover me is an unfortunate choice, but everything else is tops.

The Fever... Jesus fuck, whatta guy.   will ya 2
