Interesting. Both MSG shows are completely sold out, but the Light of Day benefit is wide open and only $25.00! What are the chances? 50-50 that Bruce will show up at The Bowery?

Anything's possible, but it's more likely that Bruce will appear at the Asbury Park Light Of Day shows in January.

1/15 - Stone Pony
1/16 - Paramount Theatre
1/17 - Various venues and restaurants on the boardwalk

Thanks Gazza. The 'Stand Up For Heroes' benefit tickets are $500 and up! Maybe Bruce will take a night off from the LOD show, he's been really busy lately! His voice sounded kinda shot last week and he was pushing it hard anyway.

His voice has sounded "shot" for 30 years. But it still sounds good to me. Wink

Nice vids.

Tellyawhut, though.
If I was that close I sure as shit wouldn't be videotaping.

Especially during 'I Fought The Law'...

I would LOVE to hear the River played live.  I think the River is an underrated masterpiece.  Being a double album, it will make for really long concerts, even by Bruce's standards.

Is Baltimore getting BTR again?

Yep. Balmore is another BTR show.

It is really a sad state of affairs when I actually checked flights and ticket availability for NYC this weekend this morning!!

The unavailability of any tickets is my pocket book's only saving grace, cause the flight is pretty cheap.. Sad

I just checked the flight prices on aerlingus.com and instead of giving me any options a female voice laughed and then in a charming Dublin accent told me to 'feck off' !!!

Too bad about AerLingus.

Have you given any thought to stowing away on a freighter?  Wink

PD Meg,

I think its way cool that you checked the flights.  If you can swing the flight prices, you should go because you'll get a ticky no problem...

When you have faith, good things happen...  Its what I believe...

Quite a night at The Garden.
Started late due to an issue with the paperless tickets, but was it ever worth the wait.

'The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle' in it's entirety.
Horns, strings, Richard Blackwell on conga...

Highlights?
'Thundercrack' - Bruce introduced it as a 'WIESS' out-take.
'Prove It All Night' - it doesn't get any better than Bruce and Stevie trading "yeahs".
'E Street Shuffle' - horns loud and proud!
A wistful '4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)'.
An immense 'Kitty's Back' - solos for everybody.
'Wild Billy's Circus Story' - with tuba accompaniment, of course.
'Incident On 57th Street' into 'Rosalita'. Liftoff achieved.

All a mere prelude to this - and perhaps any - night's peak: 'New York City Serenade'

The Holy Grail chased by all Springsteen diehards, and tonight 20,000 of them held their collective breaths as it unfolded.

It was stunning.

See and hear for yourself - 'New York City Serenade' (in two parts):
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lqy60iBbm3o
www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBxq6skmJ3U

The bar was set mighty high, and imo, save for 'Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street?', didn't get there again.

Until the last song - 'Higher And Higher', with Elvis Costello.

Kudos to whomever lit that fire.
Simply put, it's everything that's right about Bruce Springsteen and the mighty E-Street Band in the here and now.

01. Thundercrack
02. Seeds
03. Prove It All Night
04. Hungry Heart
05. Working On A Dream
06. E Street Shuffle
07. 4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)
08. Kitty's Back
09. Wild Billy's Circus Story
10. Incident On 57th Street
11. Rosalita
12. New York City Serenade
13. Waiting On A Sunny Day
14. Raise Your Hand
15. Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street?
16. Glory Days
17. Human Touch
18. Lonesome Day
19. The Rising
20. Born To Run

21. Wrecking Ball
22. Bobby Jean
23. American Land
24. Dancing In the Dark
25. Higher And Higher

And the show's up already - www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=275249

'The River' tomorrow.
Well actually, later today...

Grab the boot, G.
Not quite as good as being there, but it'll definitely do...

Should be interesting tonight.
20 songs, one album.

Doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for much else.

Or does it?  Wink
