You're following Britney now as well?

Yeah, imagine a fan site posting a positive review of a concert. Amazing.

For a guy who cant stand Springsteen, you spend more time on his sites and checking all the links than anyone else I know.

Very odd.

glencar, to relate posting in tennis terms.... you just got aced!!

The delay in announcing dates to fill in the current one month gap is absolutely maddening. Considering his difficulty in selling tickets at certain venues, you would think he would need plenty of time to sell tickets. Of course if he played somehwere other than the same markets he has already saturated he might do better........Or I can just stop whining and go to Mansfield. Tough call. Shit!

Just thought I'd let you know that the review from the Vienna show that I posted from Backstreets was not written by.. what did you call them?-"synchophants"...

It was written by a fellow Stones fan from IORR-OhNoNotMeAgain...

You always tell me to think before I speak..

Go figure....

really? I could swear that somewhere amongst your several hundred posts on this very thread a few months ago you came off with the quite laughable comment that you'd been reading the Backstreets message board and that it was extremely psycophantic. A remark which any Springsteen fan would find utterly incredulous.

Christ...I'll need  a conference call if he pulls that one out.

Last performed Brighton, England 27th May 1981. The following show, two days later in London, was my first one - so there's another (tenuous) omen.

Well after the ho-hum show in Denmark yeterday, which the sycophants on Backstreets absolutely blasted. I'd say it's time again to turn in some nuggets in the setlist. You got a good one in Hyde Park, enjoy Dublin.....And I'm no longer concerned with tour announcements, their is MORE Springsteen in my future. Smiley

damn, this is a long-ass thread..
just clicked because the stones are not interesting right now....
for the record, i guess, i'll add my two cents that tunnel of love is the most underrated album of the 80s and a shit-laod better than BITUSA....
and does anybody remember mick's interview with rona barrett during the 81 tour, where she asked him about Bruce, he said....
'the Rivah...' which i took to mean that jagger liked the album...
being the blind little sheep stones fan i was then, i quickly bought the album and must say, it remains my favorite springsteen.....

Well we must pass time productively waiting for the Stones.
and what better way than to enjoy another great band (or 2 or three )that continues to produce greatness.
And yes Tunnel is underrated and yes River is well ..it is Wink

Just moments after leaving for lunch I ran into Nils Lofgren!  - Springsteen's main man on guitar and a grand solo artiste in his own right!!!

Had a minute or two, just a quick chat outside Reilly's pub (the same pub I met Neil Young in 2 weeks ago!) - mentioned I heard they had been rehearsing "The Price you Pay"^   Quoth Nils, jovially:  "How did you knowcabout that, maaaan?"^

Amazing - two musical legends in and around Reilly's Pub, first Neil Young and now Nils!

Pretty cool!

I'll do what I can, although I'm staying next to the venue this time and will have less free time during the day than last year - plus I've an early flight out to Glasgow on Monday. ...but you never know. Most of these encounters - like the ones with the Stones - tend to just 'happen' without much planning ahead.

Speaking of Neil, Nils' most recent album is 'The Loner - Nils Sings Neil'.

Gazza someone on Backstreets said Nils and Steve were on an Irish radio show today. Nils did If I should Fall Behind. I missed it unfortunately.
