Only Billy and Stu were alive during the whole WW II, Bill was 2 years 10 months old when it started and almost 9 years old when it ended, it's the only one of the Stones who can remember something, but all were educated during the postwar.

My mum used to tell us, "You have no idea what it's like to live in times of war"
