Hey, I was thinking about that the other day! Did some searching, couldn't come up with any good answers.

I'm thinking it's in the post editing hell stage and I'm starting to have serious doubts it'll ever get past this. Big bummer, cause I was really excited about this, I'm sure he's got some great material.

I think Depp went (or is still going) through some heavy psychological stuff.

They were working on it when they 'hit a wall' and recorded Blue and Lonesome instead. In three days.

That was in December 2015.
