Thanks again Rogerriffin, who posted this in our message board in Spanish

Voodoo Lounge Uncut presents for the first time the full, unedited show filmed on November 25th 1994 at Miami’s Joe Robbie Stadium. Originally directed by the legendary David Mallet, this new version features 10 performances omitted from its previous release in the 90s, and the full show is now presented in its original running order.

With its ahead-of-its-time cyberworld staging, guest appearances from Sheryl Crow, Robert Cray and Bo Diddley, and a setlist combining classic tracks with (then) new material from the Voodoo Lounge album, this phenomenal show can now be enjoyed as originally intended.

As an added bonus, all visual formats feature five tracks from an earlier date on the Voodoo Lounge Tour that weren’t performed in Miami - making this the definitive record of The Rolling Stones’ Voodoo Lounge Tour.

Is this the one with the stupid "Roadie" intro?  Can we have that part cut?

Like, that took the place of a song?

I kinda like that roadie skit, but I'm pretty sure Whoopi Goldberg did the Miami intro.

Whoopi did the introduction to the Miami gig, which as I recall was on Thanksgiving. This show was simulcasted on the radio by Westwood One. I taped it and still have the tapes.

Many of the trenchcoats worn on this tour are in Exhibitionism!

No. That was the one from Giants Stadium in August 1994 that was sold at the merchandise stand at the shows during the rest of the tour.

The Miami show was a Pay Per View and a 95-minute edit of the gig was later released as a home video.

I don’t know and I cannot understand why so many people here hate this song, it’s pure, crude rock and roll with no overproduction, with no elaborated technicalities or sophisticated lyrics, come one it’s only rock and roll and I like it

BTW:.. at the end it’s the introduction to Rocks Off, can’t wait you B&B

I loved this tour for many reasons, including it was the last tour where they really played a lot of the new songs, but what a toss pot of a release this is. It would be one thing if there were interviews about the show and the tour accompanying this but it's pretty much what we have seen and heard on Youtube since the show. It doesn't appear that there are any interviews or anything else apart from the songs. I preferred those Google things where they talked about shows like the gig at Roundhay Park.

Some regulars are complaining about the sound on the BluRay and other formats. Is that true? How bad it is?

I have not ordered yet, I have it on laser disc, probably not the best video definition but more than OK for a standard definition source and the sound is really great

This was the tour when the band took a week or so off in New Orleans.
During that time they interviewed with Ed Bradley for "60 Minutes."
Some nice footage was shot as well, Jagger participating in a second-line parade and Keith & Charlie hitting the clubs.

I'm guessing CBS owns this material.

Remember it well. Great interviews. Ronnie Wood's bit about some taking "years" to get over addiction is especially interesting.

There was an interview with Mick...I thought it was the 60 Minutes interview...where he found a little piece of hash on the floor during the interview.  And he stuck it in his pocket and said "finders keepers" -- does anyone recall this?

I was revisiting these interviews and came across a set I had never seen before. Lo and behold, the hash bit is at the start of this. Never seen any of these before. The clips in Ireland are wonderful. Blinded by Rainbows sounded better with Mick just strumming the acoustic than the album version.

It's a masterpiece, of sorts. Keith is 4 or 5%-ish under what his guitar should be turned up to. Who did all the hair - all fluffy, dyed and lovely (like in the 'One Hit With My Brolly' video). Mick Dogger is terribly encouraging, to Kee' especially and vice-ver'. Ronnie had only joined the band two decades earlier and was now on a celery (and other salads). Whoopie and Fishy looks suprisingly appealing.
Happy days.

Video is good, but somehow - with the Vault and other releases as the audio template - the guitars are inexplicably thin and mixed low.

Comparing the sound of this release to Totally Stripped and San Jose ‘99 makes the weak mix all the more obvious.

It is little known that 'Sparks Will Fly' was originally titled 'Flies Will Spark and was about the electric insect exterminators on the walls of kitchen restaurants.

On 'Fridges To Babylon', Keith used a very similar set of guitar notes on 'Flip The Switch - an ugly fast ditty about going to the electric chair, known as 'Ol' Sparky'.

I would recommend getting this, B.
Not least - but certainly not only - because there is one song in which they are all wearing new tight clean trousers, seemingly for the first time, and it's lovely.
I would rather they'd called it 'Voodoo Lounge: Uncircumcised' but one can't have everything.
