Pat Dinizio of the Smithereens has passed away.

Sad. I met him about 10 years ago. He used to do "living room concerts" where you could hire him to come with his acoustic and do a show for your friends at your place. Seems to me it was like $500 and room/board or something like that. He had an amazing voice in person as well as a ton of rock n roll stories. RIP Pat!

He must have some sort of DC connection...he used to come into the bar I worked at an a semi-regular basis...maybe when he was at XM Radio (DC based)...always nice, polite...very sad news indeed.
