Title: Stones 1965 interview - rather interesting

It's rather interesting to see the band dynamics at play here in this 1965 clip. Keith hasn't at all become "Keef" yet...He seems like a very shy, quiet, nervous boy. Keith here, and himself just ten years later, seem like two utterly different people. Brian and Mick seem to be having a quiet battle over whose leading the band. Both men are equally self assured, charismatic, articulate and interesting, Mick's LSE education and his upper class posh demeanor are clearly evident whereas Brian is like a more sensitive and articulate version of what Keith would later become. Both Mick and Brian seem to have an equal sense of "ownership" of the Stones. The mannerisms and such show there was already tension between the two. Keith in comparison almost comes off like Bill or Charlie - almost like a sideman compared to the twin egos and alpha male tendencies of Mick and Brian. It's almost like when Brian left the band, Keith replaced him both in persona and in the band's hierarchy and Mick Taylor in a sense replaced Keith as the shy and quiet second guitarist.
