This is really great, he's almost 83 YO and is reinventing himself, long live John

Dear Subscribers,

We have big news! John Mayall has decided to move to a trio format for the first time in his career! He has always been known for making bold moves in his band line ups, and here he explains how this one came about:

The new trio hit the road for their first tour in this format last week to very enthusiastic responses from the audience and John, Greg, and Jay are having a great time! We hope you get a chance to see them. They have shows scheduled across many areas of the US through the end of this year, and they'll be back in Europe starting in February next year for an almost two month long tour. There is also a UK tour in the works for later in 2017. Please check our tour schedule page to see if they're coming to a venue near you at: http://www.johnmayall.com/tour.html

Also mentioned in the press release is John's upcoming studio album, "Talk About That," due to be released early next year. The album, recorded in February, and co-produced by John and Eric Corne of Forty Below Records, is chock-full of exciting blues! Most of the songs are written by John on this outing, but there are also three covers. Several songs are accentuated by a rock solid horn section, and guitar legend Joe Walsh makes a guest appearance on a couple of tracks. This is definitely going to be one you'll want to add to your collection! We will let you know when it's available for pre-order.

We want to remind you to check out John's Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/JohnMayallBlues. It's the best place to get up-to-date information on what's happening with John and the band. Especially now that they're on the road again!

Long Live the Blues!

Last time I saw Mayall was at the 100 Club in Oxford Street back in '06.

He looked rather frail ten years ago. Happy to see him still playing!
