Title: Guns N Roses/Alice in Chains tour (nsc)

AIC opening for GNR....mixed emotions.

I love AIC with Layne Staley (RIP) on vocals... I saw AIC with Layne opening for Iggy in Balto,MD...AWESOME.

Also have seen the new AIC line up (ok, not great).  They're  were a great band...but you can't replace a singer like Layne.

GNR--I am a huge Slash fan, and am excited that they're touring with Axl.

Meh.  I saw Guns n Roses at the LA Coliseum in 1989 when they opened for the Stones (third on the bill was Living Colour).  They were great then...not so much now.

I've seen AIC twice with William Duvall. He's really good. the band still rocks.Jerry Cantrell is awesome............The new Drugs And Noses> Nice to see Slash back. But no Izzy. I will give Axl credit. the vids I've seen of him singing with AC/Dc are actually pretty good.

alright alright a good buddy from way back bought me not only a ticket but a pass for the lounge extremely advisable due to the fact that it was friggin as hot as hades outside. we totally missed the two opening acts as we were fully ensconced in the brownstone retreat and probably thankfully so. rumor had it that axl was in the building and word was that by ten to ten the show would commence. talked to person of interest in press box who had done a few dates his first love was tatoo you'd on his arm. shortly afterwards we got to the seats. at 947 the band went on and killed it. was never a huge fan back in the day but they slayed the crowd, several actually did fall down around us maybe it was the music the booze or the insects. they did a few covers one of which suprisingly was the layla coda. a few bars of voodoo child they should have done that instead of the godfather theme which everyone loved considering we were in south philly. i actually had the once in of lifetime experience of hearing two versions of live and let die two days apart by two different bands playing in stadiums across the street from one another. we bolted about twenty to midnight because my buddy had a seven am wake up call. we were rewarded with a clusterfuck of a traffic jam..........

Uppity negroes.  They are emboldened by the lack of Christianity in our marxist schools.  Its not the negroe's fault, they are under the will of the goddam atheists!

Tickets for the Philly show were still available the day before for $20. I was going to get one, but the heat wave ended that thought.
