The front stabilizer on that cover painting is aerodynamically incorrect...also the approach back into atmosphere is reversed.
Why is Mexico shown and not Asia/Korea/Japan??
How the fuck did VooDoo manage that one?!?
Where are the windows?? Who is in that thing?
What are they trying to hide?!?

They played Tokyo Dome more than any other venue...which date might this be??
Three nights were recorded it seems...is it a complete show or a compilation??

I wish they'd release the good stuff first and leave the barrel scraping for last...

Wait, we're not already at the bottom are we?

AHYS , much like it's sped up cousin Winning Ugly, sounds like the sound track closing credits to a cheesy 80's movie

AYHYS sounds nothing like Winning Ugly. 2 completely different songs. Sigh is a great song and a beautiful ballad. Ugly is one of thew decent songs on the turd that is DW.

better choice than AC 1989 to represent this era and world tour...

I agree. Its my favourite concert of the whole tour and one of the best 'Vegas era' stadium shows.

There's an amazing mid-show set of top notch performances, with great versions of Almost Hear You Sigh, Midnight Rambler, Happy, Sympathy for the Devil and Gimme Shelter.

Can we please get a decent concert before 1969?

A club date from the early 60's?

Somebody, somewhere, has to have one!

And for someone who says he doesn't care about the old stuff, Mick has apparently amassed a large collection. When does he open his vault?

The CD cover is just wrong, they should of paid more attention to the geographical details. I'm sure the content is good! I'm gonna buy this one.

WOW! Didnt see that pure logic coming...but seriously...if Brian Epstein didnt grab Beatles stuff, then who would really expect Oldham to have grabbed the Stones back then? Even the stuff that WAS grabbed sounds relatively pretty poor...re: Got Live If You Want It!!

Not really a fave song of mine, but this version has some high points...Woody tears  apart his solos...and Wyman is so awesome thru the whole song...shame his footage is so limited

Picked up the Blu-Ray/CD package at Best Buy this afternoon.

Had to ask to have it retrieved from the back. No idea why Best Buy is struggling with new merchandise sitting in storage.

While I waited to have it retrieved, I saw that McCartney's remastered Tug of War was on the shelf - for $17.99. No idea why the music industry continues to struggle with the album that contains (I think) Ebony & Ivory available for such a reasonable price.

Have watched a bit of Tokyo - good picture, very good to at times great sound. While everything - setlist, arrangements, Stones attire, lame Music Man guitars, Matt Fucking Clifford -  is familiar, the performance is very good and the HD sound blows away the download of a couple years ago. Always a plus to have another Midnight Rambler version to watch. Keith full of energy - I think Freddie Sessler arrived just in time with some pharmaceutical grade stuff.

Mine showed up from Amazon last night...listened to Disc 1 all the way into work this morning.  I've listened to this show before many times, but I am starting to realize that this is mos def in my top 3 or 4 of live releases by the Stones.  Strong playing and great set list.

You are thinking of Pipes of Peace I think.  Tug of war has the awesome Take It Away on it.

'Pipes of Peace' has 'Say Say Say' on it.

'Tug of War' from the year before includes 'Ebony & Ivory' which was the first single.

Thankfully he redeemed himself with 'Take it Away' as the follow up single. Cracking song indeed.

So true...that song sucks...especially compared to the greatest Macca song ever "The Girl Is Mine".
