Just curious, since Gazza said he was more into Country/Folk than into the Blues. Although I like them all, I tend to agree with him, but what do you think.

I guess it's Rock for me, but then there are types of "Rock" that I really don't like much.

Well, I guess that's because "Rock" is not the same as "Rock 'n' Roll" |

No can vote with these choices...
I like the artists that i like... What is termed as "classic rock" I find boring, over-indulgent and over played... Thank god the guitar solo of the 70's went the way of the dinosaurs!!! Unlike the fashions of the times...it does not look good to make a comeback anytime soon. I love the Stones...They are 6 decades of classic...well 4 1/2 at least... My tastes for pop go from Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Robbie Williams, Paul Weller, Morrissey, Aimee Mann and even Taylor Swift (I have 9 year old twins who turned me on to her) I love Dylan...Neil Young...Prince...Post 1981 Crimson...Beatles...Clash, Depeche Mode and Cure Much love for much Punk...and Garage Bands I hear on LSUGG Very selective about my reggae...love the 60's stuff and the R&B/Soul/Disco of the 60's 70's (no fiercer song than Kool & The Gang's Jungle Boogie!!)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GcP7DeJKHQ |

Rock 'n' roll.
Most of what passes for 'rock' doesnt swing and leaves me pretty cold. Saying that, I've always maintained that music has been divided into far too many genres and sub-genres for a long time now. There are really only two types of music in the world. |

Nice one, Gazza. Fully concur. Two types? I reckon that'd be the good shit and the cheesey shit. (I hesitate to say "bad shit" in deference to my man Kurt Vonnegut who once declared: "What else is sacred? All music is sacred".) |

1. Good music.
2. Bad music. In other words, 'music I like' and 'music I dont like'. |

I chose rock and roll. But, in reality, I am a music lover. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music.
