To be honest I don't give a fuck about it

I didnt know he had but if so, I hope not. I find it hilarious that Stones fans (or anyone over the age of about 9) would take it as some personal affront, especially as the subject of the original comment probably never even batted an eyelid.

Seems the sort of thing Lars Ulrich would say, but where/when did he say it? (link?) Funny thing is, Charlie would probably agree with him!

This has nothing to do with the topic at hand . . . But, I just remembered that documentary Some Kind of Monster, where the band, Metallica hires a counselor to intervene, because they just can't get along! Ha!

With Charlie's lack of interest in rock n roll outside of the Stones would he even know or care about anything Metallica?

I don't understand this thread. Is there a link to a story?

I took two seconds and found this story:

http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2009/03/lars-ulrich-on-failing-guitar-hero-and-getting-too-old-to-rock

I don't see anything wrong with it. Charlie would agree 100%.

Yup. Ulrich (though he is generally an arrogant pain in the arse) didn't knock Charlie at all, in fact said he adores and respects him.
Just more nonsense from the original poster.

He just kicked ass on the White House lawn for the HBO special for Veterans Day, which is on right now. Springsteen is doing a solo act.

Remember the time when Metallica opened the two shows for the Stones in San Francisco? On the second night of the show, I got to see Metallica front-row-center!  Ha!

Now, does anyone have footage of that show?  So, I can show off to all my relatives and friends!

If Lars had his way we'd still be paying $3.50 for a 45 and there would be no internet for music of any kind.
