My vote is for Jimmy Hutmaker. Jimmy Miller was Jimmy Miller - that's how he's mentioned. Always his full name. Jimmy Miller has never been called Mr. Jimmy.

Mr Jimmy is Jimmy Miller, it's also him on the drum.
Jagger told it long ago in interview (25 X 5 or something like that).

The Star Trib has run different versions of that.  I recall someone here debunked that there was ever a Minnesota connection to the song.

Thats who I always assumed it was - never gave it much thought really to be honest. I wouldnt have a clue! :-)
