    Charlie Watts Engaged?

Charlie Watts’s adored labrador retriever "Spinee" has undergone a risky surgery on Saturday and is luckily beginning the slow process of recovery, according to British media reports. The 73-year-old drummer is said to have received waves and waves and support for Spinee, as he offered his Twitter followers an update on pooch’s status regularly.

UPDATE 28/07/2014 : This story seems to be false. (read more)

Charlie Watts is one busy daddy

The yellow labrador retriever underwent a risky procedure at the London Veterinary Hospital on Saturday (July 26, 2014), prompting the drummer to ask his followers to send well wishes her way.

“May I ask one favor? My dog Spinee needs your prayers,” he Tweeted on Saturday. “She just came out of a difficult surgery 20 minutes ago … She is my beloved.”

Charlie Watts’s Twitter feed has kept his fans and followers updated

Throughout the night the British drummer posted updates to his numerous followers, about his dog’s delicate condition. “Spinee came out of the anesthetic well … her vital signs are good … your prayers are working,” he Tweeted.

Charlie Watts continued tweeting about his pup’s prognosis throughout the night and it appears the pooch is on the mend. By Sunday morning, things continued to look good. “The Spinee Report: Her vital signs are good… pink gums … sleeping peacefully… recovering as hoped,” he said. “Not out of the woods yet. Prayers working :)”

Prayers working

As Charlie Watts’s Twitter followers sent messages of support, he showed his gratitude. “With prayers like this I feel confident Spinee will be fine,” he wrote. “Thank you more than you will ever know.”

Here’s to hoping Spinee has a successful and speedy recovery!

In terms of Stones info (and especially relating to Keith), Teddy is generally pretty rock-solid when it comes to reliability.  :keithpunky

Yup, TeddyB is a great reliable, and low key, source of info, especially regarding Clash goings-on, as he's friends with Mick J, who, on a certain Clash board, we refer to as "our Mick". Ya know - as opposed to that other no-account Mick J!).
Didn't know he was mates with Keef as well. The boy gets around!

Dude aint a bad writer and producer either! Just like his old man.

Pretty much every tidbit he's given me in the last few years has turned out to be absolutely spot-on. Great bloke.

It seems every article on their site notes in red "this seems to be false". I broke out laughing when I read Darryl Jones is world's highest paid musician with net worth of $82 million??!!!! Didn't know he'd won the lottery.

Yeah, top bloke for sure, a real gent. And Gazza - have you ever heard his old band? Just discovered them only recently, really cracking stuff, and the man sang kind of like Lou Reed/Jim Carroll/Richard Hell. Real rock n' roll stuff - Mott, Dolls, Bowie, Stones, Clash, etc.

No, I havent. Then again, the guy's so modest that even after corresponding with him for ages I didnt realise what he did for a living. So there's more? I'm unfamiliar with whatever band he was involved with. All those acts above tick the right boxes for me!

Its hilarious, but you have to wonder what kind of nutcase writes it and what sort of people do they target?

Is it meant to be satirical or do people actually take it seriously?

Samples from today :

Jerry Harrison (ex-Talking Heads), Time's ‘Person of the Year’ 2014?

Ryan O'Neal to be the next James Bond?

Michael Mann goes ‘Gangnam Style’

By the way, see if you can see a trend in these two articles that fits with the Stones album/Charlie's sick dog stories linked above!

on Keith's album? Have heard nothing to suggest he was involved in any way.

Think some of us are at cross purposes.

The story is an upcoming Keith solo album, which was first mentioned as being in the works late last year.  The source quoted in the first post is a very good one.

There is no new Rolling Stones studio album - that mediamass site just makes stories up and changes the celebrity's name around to fit the story every few days. (there is a Stones duets live album in the pipeline though , but thats another story)

I'm unaware of Charlie having a sick pooch.

PM'd you a link to his old band's site, didn't want to post on this board without his consent as he's not a member here, but if you chat with him soon and he doesn't mind, you might re-post the link and the Amazon links as well, as there may be some folk here who would dig the band.
