Title: Perfect way to start the next show.
Post by Holden on Mar 27th, 2014 at 9:42pm
The place is completely dark. There's a spotlight on Keith as he walks out from behind the curtain with his Telecaster. He goes to mic, says his hellos and goes," Ladies and Gentlemen, Mick Jagger!" And Mick dances out as Keith goes straight into "happy." And they do it together.

Dream on dream on.

We should just be happy they're actually on stage doing a show 52 years in.

Title: Perfect way to start the next show - a MICK intro!
Post by Bitch on Mar 27th, 2014 at 10:45pm
What actually bothers me is during the intros, no one ever introduces MICK, yeah we all know who he is, but he never gets an intro! Its not fair!!
It would be a great way to open the next show, considering all he has gone through recently. MICK deserves an intro right in the beginning as he comes on stage as a show of love and support from the band, and the fans. It would be epic in lifting his spirits.

The first person who will veto this idea is Mick Jagger.

100% correct.

Mick will hit that stage like the pro he is and there won't be a hint of overt sentimentality.

I think Lady Jane is right on the money. It will be a fantastic show and people will marvel at how brilliant the show was, and how energetic and powerful Mick performed.

Let's not forget L'Wren designed much, if not all of his wardrobe. I think he'll be strutting like a peacock all over that stage.

It's going to be a great show.

Ronnie introduced him on the Voodoo Lounge tour.

If anything, Mick looked embarrassed about it.

It was dropped for the next tour.

Its a nice idea actually, but I think they're more likely to go with momentum than sympathy.

I wouldnt expect them to even mention it. They're not going to want any sense of melancholia at a Stones gig. How he'll acknowledge the postponements at the rescheduled Aussie shows might be a very sensitive moment though.

I think Mick will thank the audience for all their love and support and then launch into a real uptempo number and get everyone dancing.

Mick Jagger needs no introduction
He is the only one I think still out there
I can say that about!

Pauly would be an exception.

I know MICK doesn't NEED it and he probably doesn't WANT it or it already would be a part of the intros. I just always thought he DESERVES it and maybe now is a good time to show support for him since he has to be feeling lower than usual. As for wearing L'Wren's outfits, I bet he makes some changes and picks out some plain looking stuff to wear, maybe just RS t-shirts, and black pants.

I think that's as close as anything will get to mentioning L'Wren. Like Lady Jayne and The Wick said, Mick is definitely not one to bring sentiment to the forefront. His job is to make everyone have a good time and he's all business, all the time on stage.

Will he continue to wear the gorilla jacket in SFTD as a tribute?

I too wish they would intro Mick....but not happening. Lets hope he can get over his loss and continue to be the world's greatest front man and enjoy what he is doing. (Oh and get to Atlanta Will Ya!)

Thye first time I watched "Cocksucker Blues" I thought that was the way to start a show, watching the movie seems they start with it

I have advocated for Sympathy as an opener for years.

If they finish their touring without ever opening with Sympathy, it will be one of the world's biggest blunders.

ever.
