Nice stylishly fabulous family! Theo is actually wearing the Hung On U Bag. It's cool and I want one! I guess this is a new item being promoted. Another modeling job for Theo?

Here’s what popped up when I just searched it.

Travel back in time, when years ago, friends Patti Hansen and Molly Madden would go out for a night of dancing and throw on their favorite over-the-shoulder bags so they could enjoy the evening, hands free.

Cut to today, when Patti’s daughters, Alexandra Richards and Theodora Richards, went shopping in their mom’s closet and discovered those very same bags. ”My daughters found the bags in my closet,” explained Patti. “I have my vintage closet and they took them out about five years ago and said, ‘Mom, these bags are awesome, we love them,’ and it just reminded me how fabulous they were. I started packing them because they’re so easy and hands free. Then Molly said, ‘We have to re-do these.’”

And so they did.
At an intimate cocktail gathering, hosted by Martini & Rossi at the Standard Hotel, guests were introduced to the Hung on U collection, a celebration of vintage style and collaborative efforts between Patti, Molly, and designer Debi Koppel. Currently, the collection includes nylon, mesh, leather selections, but the future holds a bit of fringe style in store. “Alex takes the yellow nylon version to Spain with her, throws a bathing suit in it and goes to the beach,” said Patti, while Alexandra interjected, “They’re easy, ready to go bags that you can dress up or down.”

Family and friends toasted the trio in their new success, as the bags stood proudly on display, waiting to re-enter the world. You’re sure to see these designs out and about, because who doesn’t need a versatile bag that can transform from day to night, beach to city, while leaving your hands free for texting, gesticulating, or holding the perfect cocktail?
