We weren't expecting Mick Jagger to come talk to us last night when we shouted his name as he entered the Ziegfeld Theater for a screening of Shutter Island — but he did! (He responds to the name "Mr. Jagger," for your reference.) Caught off guard, we asked what had brought him out. "Because I like the movie very much and I was here in New York," he explained. So he'd seen the film already and liked it so much that he had to see it again? "Exactly," he said before running inside.

It's Fashion Week in NYC. Guess L'Wren has a showing or something...

This blurb is in today's NY Post:
Rumors are swirling of a top-secret exclusive performance by none other than Sir Mick Jagger at the L’Wren Scott after-party tonight. Kenmare co-owner Nur Khan has indeed mentioned to Buzz that a special surprise is in store — and he’s been known to drink and dine with the knighted rock megastar.

L'wren's shoes are too big, one of her feet is coming loose. I don't think Mick should worry so much its much worse to wear the wedges. He should go for full platforms maybe if its that important. Above the shoes they both look swell though. Nice to see everyone out and about and enjoying life some

Just did a little bio thing on her there, and it seems they've been an item since 2001. Even longer than he was with Bianca (including the period when they were separated and not yet divorced). Hasn't exactly been much in the way of gossip about him chasing it elsewhere since then either. Who would have thought?

It is one of the downsides of having a statuesque girlfriend - how do you stop her towering over you when she wants to wear stilettos?

The answer, according to Sir Mick Jagger, is to get a pair of higher heels yourself.

The singer donned a pair of built-up trainers to reduce the gap between himself, at 5ft 10in, and girlfriend L'Wren Scott, 42, who is 6ft 4in.

Sir Mick, 66, wore the Nike Air Force 1 trainers to the New York premiere of Shutter Island. The shoes cost just £30 but gave him priceless extra inches.

He is not the first male star to wear built-up shoes but most - such as Tom Cruise - choose a hidden 'lift' inside the shoe to save their pride.

U2 frontman Bono, however, wears his heels with pride. The 5ft 7in singer has opted for a pair of platforms on many an occasion - including when he met with German chancellor Angela Merkel to discuss aid for Africa.

This heel thing is not really correct. If I am not mistaken he's been wearing that type of shoe for ages and even on stage. I doubt that he's trying to compete with Keith and Ronnie to look taller there. Wouldn't surprise me though.

In the pic with MICK wearing the white shoes (the black shoes are much better IMO) Lwren is crouching down at the knee so she seems shorter, or MICK seems taller. And MICK's hair looks windblown because it's been really windy in NYC for the past few days! Ahh Lwren is one fvcking lucky lady to have her arm around MICK's waist and I notice she's always clutching his hand like a trophy whenever they are in pics together! Show off!
