Johnny Depp, who famously chose to crib the rock legend's eccentric mannerisms for his portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow, did the honors by setting up a tribute video for Captain Sparrow, Sr. "Once you're up there [on the stage], you're not thinking," Richards opened the video with, as it then charts his ride with the Stones over the years, from the rolling, swinging sixties to present day. "How did you survive?" he is asked in an old interview reel that closes the tribute. The young Richards smiles and shrugs. "I don't know." Depp followed with a similar quip, pointing out the significance of the "immortal" bit in the award's name. Keith is looking much better than he did last year or so. Great devilish glint in the eye that had been missing following the head injury. He really appeared a bit off from time to time months after that ordeal - but last night he appeared rested and I think his appearance looks GREAT.
