Hello,

I was on YouTube and I saw the video of Mick Jagger singing Foxy Lady on his solo tour in Australia. I was wondering what the song was at the very beginning and end of the video. There were just a few seconds of it before Foxy Lady started. It was a studio recoding with slide guitar and harmonica and it sounded like it came from the time frame of the late 60s when Ry Cooder was recording with Mick for the Performance soundtrack. Thanks.

I never heard that song before, the one you mentioned, it does sound like a Roy Cooder one from the 'Performance" period, very short though.

I uploaded that video and in the intro I added "Blue" a great blues by Mick Jagger composed by him and Matt Clifford recorded in July 2001; is a b-side from the Goddess in the Doorway album. The line up is Mick Jagger on vocals, harmonica and guitar, Matt Clifford on keyboards, Doug Wimbish on bass and Will Calhoun on drums.

Jaggers solo AUssie tour was huge. IT was the closest we'd been to seeing a Stone since 1973.
