Hey
The Rolling Stones came to Preston on January 31st (thanks :)) 1964 and played at the Preston Public Hall. This hall was demolished long before my time haha and its a shame because now we don't get any good bands in Preston.
Ahhh I was born in the wrong era!
Anyway if anyone went to see them in 1964 or knows someone who did can you tell me about it? I have read reviews for other bands at this hall and it sounds like it was an amazing venue, shame it was before my time :P Would have loved to have been there.
Any information about this concert would be appreciated, thanks. [smiley=dankk2.gif]

There's no circulating recording of this show, but the setlist appears to be known OK :

The date listed for the show, however, is 31st January (taken from James Karnbach's book).

Preston reached the FA Cup Final in 1964.They lost 3 - 2 to West Ham,a late goal by Ronnie Boyce deciding it.

Strange but true: David Beckham played 5 times for Preston North End in 1995, whilist on loan from Manchester United - they should have kept him.
