No surprise. I've never believed for a minute it would happen, and Mac's comments a few weeks ago where he didnt sound overly optimistic but remained hopeful of a 'couple of shows' sounded like the death knell.

To be honest, I dont think its a bad thing. The whole idea sounded dreadful.

he's been not too fondly described in the past by friends in the business close to him as being 'as tight as two coats of paint'. No real surprise it seems to have worked out this way, if these reports are true.

Rod may be tight but he also is very smart.What was to be gained by him on this tour when he can continue solo and decide how much the side players are paid? No doubt Ronnies recent shenanigans figured into his thinking too.Why risk the headaches on a tour that had little commercial appeal anyway.We did a fair bit of speculating on speculation thats for sure!
