"To give the special one you seek a chance
Or maybe say hello with just a glance."

I just clicked on your YouTube link. I agree---such a song of yearning {in a way}. Those lyrics are superb.

Mozambique, for whatever reason, is one of my favorite songs. Tangled up in Blue first of course and the whole damn BOTT album is freaking brilliant, but Isis and Mozambique are just....well they hit me! I am not even sure why. Doesn't make too much sense, but then again, neither does life.

Isis oh Isis
You're a mystical child
What drives me to you
Is what drives me insane
I still can remember the way that you smiled
On the 5th day of May
In the drizzlin' rain

I was actually going to go to Mozambique in 2005 JUST because of this song. Then I had a baby or something. But still, I am going to go!

I agree. Those two songs do it for me too. Dylan....but different too.

Hey, there's even a song called "Joey" on that album.  ;)

Now I don't normally like this band. But I like this song (and video). The video's kind of corny but sometimes if you're going to have fun you gotta check your ego in at the door.....if you know what I mean.

This Hendrix song will always be underrated because it's so good. The ratings scales can't cope with anything like this.
