Or have known someone who did? I'm thinking of buying one and can score one new for less than $400. I'm sure it would be hard to get as proficient as someone like Paul Tanner, but heck, I might as well try and see what happens.

Haven't heard about that instrument in years, in the late 60's there was a rock band called Lothar & The Hand People, & this instrument was used, to create really strange sounds.

My buddy out in Denver has one and has gotten good enough to give a few Concerts. I believe has used it for some movie scores and Sound tracks to some silent movies. :blankfriggingstare1 8-)

wild bill, here in Brazil there's a "boutique" amp builder, his name is Pedrone, he makes Theremins, you can google him, and drop him a line..I'm sure he can send you one...
