I'm thinking about getting a Rolling Stones tattoo, but I can't think of what to get. Does anyone have any cool ideas, or does anyone have one they'd like to share so I could get some ideas?

guy i followed stones with in 78 had a tongue tattooed below his belly button near the end of the tour. I hated pointing out to him that it was flipped backwards

thats the one...looks to be a magnolia flower. if i were to decide to make the plunge i would do this one sans rolling stones words. just the picture would work for me. |

I've never been very crazy about tattoos, but I always figured that, if I were to get one, it would have to be a classic tongue design. And maybe a spiked Voodoo one to completemtn it. One on each ass cheek! :aimama

I do believe our very own Mel Belli has a tattoo of this guy
<------------------------ which i think is very cool - the tounge is too obvious and almost a cliche - the exile dude (or pako as he's known) is not quite so obvious and only relatively serious fans would recognize it - a bit elitist/obscurantist i know but the cool comes with the esotericality [move] :funny :funny [move] :funny :funny :funny :funny[ :funnyimg]http://rocksoff.org/mbavatar.jpg[/img] :funny :funny :funny :funny :funny :funny :funny :funny[/move] |

"the tounge is too obvious and almost a cliche "
It's a logo...not a cliche....name recognition is the key to succesful marketing. |

I also have the 'cliche' tongue.
I had the keith tattoo done a couple of years ago. The guy who did was extremely talented. |

hey i'm sorry i havent' meant to denigrate anybody or their tatts calling the tounge a cliche - but i say that it has become so - it has been overworked - so much so that the logo now in a way just repesents itself - the fact that it is a reference to or an indication of being a fan of the band is not always the case now. witness 14 year old girls in shopping malls with a tounge t - shirt but no idea who charlie watts is :areyoufuckingserious-
in a way it shows how powerful the image it is but its meaning has changed some how in terms of the general population |
