Any recipes for summer cocktails?

Cognac is a type of brandy so I've some question about the nature of the list.  I have 2-3 snifters most nights after dinner.  There are other kinds of brandy that are quite good, but cognac has been the best fit for me for a couple of decades now.  About 1-2 per month I'll have some Irish whiskey rather than cognac.  Cognac should never be had unless sleep is a short time away.  For before dinner and with dinner, I like wine.

Well I know Vodka is fermented from potatoes,
Beer from Malt and Barley
Whiskey from corn or barley
Wine from berries or grapes
Brandies I'm not sure.
Tequila? The mescaline plant? Whatever that is....

Brandy is distilled wine.  btw, you also mis-spelled the Japanese rice wine.  I take my alcohol VERY seriously.

LOL no... Mezcaline is an extract from Peyote and is a psychedelic

Tequila is made from on kind of AGAVE from the Jalisco State in Mexico while Mezcal is made from another kind of AGAVE from the state of Oaxaca (this is the one with a worm on the bottom of the bottle, the worm is added as a quality control evidence)

Pulque is another Mexican booze, it's nice as it has a variable content of alcohol and always several alkaloids; the industry has tried to make it commercially available but has been impossible as its fermentation is not possible to control by any means (high biotech here) so it would be like a “Mickey Finn” babies, the alcohol and alkaloid content would be a surprise when opening your booze

Tequila is (ideally) distilled from the blue agave.  Most commercial brands, i.e. that Corvo and Lopez shit, is from any ol' catcus...

Of course. I knew that. LOL.  :weed
But I did think Tequila was fermented from the same source.

OK....thank you...spelling noted. But if I'm not mistaken James Clavell spelled it that way, with an i, in the Shogun novel....and he's certainly no illierate.

Two or three cognacs every night?  And your head still speaks to you?  On nights I drink, I have one vodka cocktail before dinner, split a bottle of wine with the wife with dinner, and a second bottle after dinner over TV or conversation.

Yes, he did, but in the 70's, he was drinking 30 Beers a day, the famous Rollin' stone articles mentions this, but remember him & Morrison was drinking American Beer, which had less alcohol vol. compared to strong Canadian Beer, which had a lot more, Alice got sober, he turned more to being a Christian, while a lot of other people got A.A. (he's never been to a A.A. meeting in his life) so in that sence, he turned more to what changed his Father & Grandfather.
Jim Morrison once drank 40 Beers during a Doors rehearsal.

Beer!

It's like your best friend; always there, you never get tired of it and it doesn't make you feel sick.
oh and it's nice and cold, which is always a plus.

But the 2 golden rules when it comes to the art of alcohol:

- NO mixes
- NO little umbrellas

"Any recipes for summer cocktails?"

My new favorite summer beverage is limoncello.  I make my own by marinating the zest of 15-20 lemons in 100 proof vodka (or Everclear) for a month or so, then add sugar syrup and marinate for another month or so.  Strain and store in freezer.  It's lemonilicious!!  I've got a couple of batches brewing.

Depends on my mood, but it would be either a lot of beer, or a lot of Jack Daniel's (or Wild Turkey, or Jim Beam) with a lot of ice and sometimes some coke. If I wanna last, It would be only beer until 2-3 in the morning, then whisky, then throwing out around 4-5. The puking part is actually a good one. :pukey
I only puke when i had a good time.

seabreezes are nice on a summers eve

2 shots of your favorite vodka...[why not make it a double]
fill the glass just over half full with oj
a splash or two of grapefruit juice
top it off with cranberry juice.
add crushed ice and shake
plop a bing cherry into the mix and sip at with a straw.

enjoy.
