Who is on the cover of Emotional Rescue?

this question has been up on the IORR board for several days with
nobody coming close...

so i thought i'd take a shot...

took me 10 minutes to come up with the definitive answer, although more
than a half hour to provide the helpful pic below (look at the perfect
symmetry, it is PROOF of Mick's intentions)

A -- Mick
B -- Ron
C -- Ron, Bill, and Charlie

the remaining 33 little squares are pretty much evenly divided between
the 5 of them...

and why did Mick so seriously disrespect Keith in this manner?

you really didnt think Mick would let "all about you" go unanswered, did you?
mick knew keith and his people were too lazy to figure it out.

Keith symbolically reduced to a minor figure on a Stones album...

cue the Joker's laugh

glad you reminded me about the huge poster that came with the
original vinyl pressings...

its an important part of the story of how mick (and his people) were
able to so successfully punk keith (and his people)

the poster was five feet by two feet, printed on both sides. the
size of 20 album covers or, if you prefer. 10 album covers front
and back...

this poster was folded over multiple times and wrapped around
the subject cardboard sleeve to serve as defacto cover art within
the shrink wrap. Folded this way Keith became the only Stone on
the front cover, while Mick was alone on the back...

this was how keith and his people were fooled. keith was told "you're
getting the cover, mick's only on the back, the opposite of Goat's Head"
and keith fell for it

the extremely clever and hilarious catch was that the poster was on
such thin tissue paper that it fell apart and/or wrinkled severely as
soon as you unfolded it, so that 99% of them were soon trashed and
everybody was left with only the nearly keith-less cardboard cover art...

an elaborate and magnificent joke i think. a great piece of conceptual art.

Rolling on the tiles here in great pain, my sides truly aching, at the sheer gall hidden in conceptual wit. Keith on the rear of the following TY album was clearly or just possibly a reference MJ's hidden desire to ink Keith's back-botty, or something.

I had the poster hanging on a wall of my room... now the onbly poster I have is the one on a Japanese CD, a mini poster. Love those thermographic images

That beard is the single most terrible look on Mick ever lol so glad he got rid of that again 🤣🙈
Anyway, talking about Emotional Rescue, I was so freaking excited getting to hear it live this year on tour and Mick still is getting uo there to the high notes really well, it's impressive

Funnily enough, when first listening to the entire album in like 2017 I didn't like it a lot and then never really listened to it much again up until earlier this year when I re-listened to it because a friend kept telling me it's one of her faves and I should give it another chance, so I did and now I really love it...especially Down in the Hole, incredible vocal performance by Mick

Talking about the cover, I don't like it, they definitepy have WAY better covers...
