5 years ago today, the last show of the Rolling Stones with Charlie Watts, and the last time they played Brown Sugar.

Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, FL August 30, 2019. Concert postponed from April 20,  2019, and then brought forward from August 31, 2019, at two-day notice due to an impending tropical storm.

Charlie played a total of 2,201 shows with The Rolling Stones… three of them as a guest. We miss you, Charlie.

Last time i saw Charlie Watts was right here in Marseille,
on the 26th of June 2018.

Unbelievable he was gone 3 years later...

It really makes you sigh, dunnit? (the Charlie part)

Just wish it was subbed out instead of downsizing the setlist.

I still get sentimental when I think about Charlie; I miss him.

This makes me wonder if they stopped playing Brown Sugar because of Charlie's absence. Maybe it's nothing to do about being politically correct.

I went to see the Stones without Charlie, after telling the same, no Charlie no Stones and it was a great experience, it's not the same in vibes but it's the Stones!!!

I miss Charlie more than Brown Sugar

Thank you for posting the link Voodoo Chile in Wonderland. That is a different perspective I didn't think of. Must be difficult sometimes for the guys navigating through modern times and older age trying to keep the legacy alive. I miss the song but it's not killing me either. Just happy they're playing as well as they are.

Thanks Voo! Mom  was ten years older than Charlie  and two days apart in birthdays . She got to see the stones in Hartford in 99 when I passed on my brothers extra ticket  because I was on the west coast !  She would have drunk you and Gazza under the table  !  She was one tough lady lived till 90
