He's incredible...they left Missouri on Monday, this means he was back in Paris on Tuesday and then already out and about without even the hint of jetlag and this at 81...insane  ;D

i think there's a better than 50-50 chance that our birthday boy is
involved in the opening ceremony...

...perhaps dueting with Gaga on La Vien en Rose

Weren't Mick and/or Keef and the Princess always kickin' up their heels in the Swinging 60's?
They would party like it was the blitz all over again, no?

Also, there's a British flag on the floor...disgraceful...dont they now have to burn the flag or something like that?

Ah fuck now I'm almost disappointed I told my friends I'm free for dinner tonight instead of Sunday, wish I could watch the opening ceremony if Mick is singing  ;D

But well, we got the internet and YT right...at least I can only watch Mick then in case he shows up and not have to watch a hundred or so flagbearers walk in, Germamy doesn't even have the 2 I voted for  ::)

I caught about 1.5h or so of the opening ceremony but missed Gaga...but got all the breathtaking stuff tho...that horse on the water!!!, the Eiffel tower, Celine Dion on the Eiffel tower, that balloon omg! Fucking amazing, I do remember London and Beijing, didn't follow Russia, was a bit too young to remember more than watching some games in Athens like pole jump but nothing else...but Paris had the coolest opening ceremony I ever follwed, that will be very hard to top! Was also funny to see Zidane and Nadal cause they didn't age a bit and still looked the same as years ago...eternally young like Mick as well ;) I wonder whether Mick was there amd got wet or watched it on the telly hahaha

Thanks to Lucas we know that Mick, in fact, actually was there in the rain:

Tbh when watching the ceremony I felt pretty sorry for the performers, they trained so hard and everything and then they had to dance in the rain...and all the people watching, and of course the athletes on the boats...just read an article that a few German athletes wanted to go below deck to warm up and security told them no, then the entire German Olympic team just collectively went downstairs cause they couldn't stop them all LOL love that...mutiny on the German boat  ;D

Speaking of the Olympics...are you guys following? What are your favourite sports to follow? I really love to watch certain sports, even more so when there is someone from team Germany involved, of course, but even if not so...

have been following both games of the German women football team so far, tho last night I gotta admit we sucked and the US is just (as mostly) the best team in the world probably rn...then I like tennis and it was great to see Zverev win his first match so effortlessly and I hope I can catch a bit of Angelique Kerber later...I like to have a look at swimming as well cause it's very exciting most of the time, then I like the climbing competitions cause sometimes I go bouldering myself and I also always liked to watch fencing and pole jump for some reason, I still remember watching that the first time I ever followed the Olympics consciously, which was Athens 2004, I don't remember 2000...

Speaking of fencing, that pic of Mick and Devereaux was taken during a fencing competition on Saturday (which sadly I had no time to watch)
