I genuinely wonder how people going to the show do accomodate? 13k inhabitants is like the next town over from the village I grew up in, and there are literally 3 hotels...will everyone arrive in a camping van?  :o ;D

Also this doesn't really look like an amphitheatre to me, rather like a clearing in the middle of the woods :D

I wonder why they picked exactly that venue Oo like where will the guys even stay? Kansas City? St. Louis? Cannot see them all living in trailers for 2 days at this point, maybe in the 70s LOL

You are misinformed about Ridgedale MO’s location. It’s only  a 15 to 20 minute drive from Branson MO. More like a suburb of Branson. Type in Branson MO on google and you will get your answer about hotel space. Branson is known as the Las Vegas of the Ozarks.

One of the major resorts in the area (Cedar Ridge?) is totally full and some think the band/entourage is there.

I had reserved a Ramada for $61 a night 2 weeks ago before switching to a 2 bedroom suite to accommodate a larger party in exchange for logistical assistance. This apparently didn't move the needle at all on hotels.

Interesting, I looked it up on Google Maps and there truly are WAY more hotels than I would have guessed in a small place...it rather looks like the Orlando of Missouri to me than the Vegas tho with all those theme parks

Ronnie-woody. I think you’re right. I passed through there and  stayed there overnight about 30 years ago. Back then, it was known more for its musical entertainment. They had music theaters everywhere. Andy Williams, Glen Campbell, Kenny Rodgers, Donnie & Marie Osmond just to name a few were performing there nightly. Remember walking around seeing all these music  theaters. Of course, the whole area is extremely conservative so there had to be a certain type of performer. Think the music entertainment has seen better days. As you said, it appears now to have been taken over by theme parks.

A very interesting after-the-fact kinda addition to a tour.
This sort of privilege is usually reserved for more VIPish venues...The Fonda, Hard Rock, The Apollo, etc.
Perhaps it location and grown-up vibe is its exclusiveness factor.

It was Gazza (miss you brother) that mentioned a possibility of this show being a benefit of a sort for a natural preserve or some such.
I am sure we would have heard by now, but you know the Stones publicity
machine is not always in sync with the right now.

It is almost like a tiny version of The Dead's "Playing in The Sand" Mayan beach residency,
but up in the mountains and for only one night. This is but a quick step to a Residency at The Sphere, 2025

I actually for once read loads of the stuff those people on IORR always come up with as pre-show infos and basically this show is like one of those private gigs they have played for rich people before, only that this is open for the public, cause the owner of the venur paid them well to play there but also he wants to promote the new arena to the public, so that's why^^ so it's not really a benefit for a natural preserve but rather even more capitalism but oh well...as long as we all get another show to follow, who are we to complain ;D

Also I could imagine some Sphere shows eventually but next year is South America and Europe...maybe in 2026^^
Edit: actually based on the latest rumours, a handful of South/Latin American shows could actually already happen in November this year...tho idk, since all the other rumours said next February so far...I would have guessed they maybe wanna go back to the studio in autumn...we'll see^^

Someone else also feeling inexplicably sad about the tour ending? It's been such a great ride and it kinda feels like this tour has been going on forever, it's the longest tour they played since 2013 and they did so incredibly well even despite the challenges they had with first Keith being sick and then Mick having voice problems...they probably played the best they have in ages, especially Keith and Ronnie, and also did loads of setlist changes, watching them and getting to hear some of the new songs live was such a joy, also because you could tell that they're having a total blast!

I'm so gonna miss waking up twice a week and being able to watch new videos and see new pictures for breakfast...

At least we know that they wanna keep on rolling, granted that everyone hopefully will stay fit and healthy, even if we gotta wait almost an entire year for more shows, which might not be the best decision to stop playing for such a long time at their age, but on the other hand I'm hoping that they'll use the meantime to work on more new music, so that they'll hopefully keep the great momentum going!

Great show, it's not the setlists, it's the Stones rocking at 80, mick about to be 81 this month

Mick 81 in 4 days, incredible! Had the tour started a week later and ended a week later, he could even have celebrated that on the road like in 2022  ;D

At least they didn't shorten the setlist, but compared to the tour finale in Berlin this setlist seemed a bit uninspired...but I hear they played as amazing as the entire tour, so at least they didn't slack like at the Hard Rock show in 2021 that left many so disappointed...it would have been an unworthy end to this incredible tour tbh, so I'm glad they kept the high energy amd great performance up til they were over the finish line

What an amazing version of Rambler, thanks for recording this, Christijanus! Keith's reaction when Mick is playing the harp is my reaction when Mick is playing the harp 💜 this has got to be some of his best harp playing I ever heard...also so neat he stuck with alternating between playing the harp and singing again like he already did in Santa Clara...tbh they really should take some time and write a blues song for the new album cause Mick isn't playing enough harp on HD which is astounding, seeing how much he enjoys it live (and how much Keith is enjoying it as well 🤭)

Though, I cant connect the dots, maybe some reference to Biden dropping out of the race...Jagger has made a few comments lately about getting out there to vote, how he pays US taxes, etc...but maybe the venue had some outreach to vets for this particular show...who knows.

I did miss the audience check-ins that Jagger has done during recent years...some rather clever ones, as well.

Maybe just my impression but I thought by the end of last night's show, just as the past 2-3 shows before, Mick seemed really fucking exhausted at the end. I though he already looked pretty fucking done during Midnight Rambler last night. Of course that's no criticism by any means just an observation, he's about to turn 81 this week after all, he's still utterly incredible! And I think he totally gave his everything, his performance during Satisfaction was amazing, no wonder he was so done in the end...

all I'm trying to say is that either 20 shows is too much for Mick by now (Keith and Ronnie seem totally fine but they barely walk around anymore, especially not Keith which is a bit sad I missed him on the catwalk during Rambler like he did in 2022) or if they wanna play another tour with 20 shows they should play on a smaller stage maybe, don't think Mick can keep delivering on this level much longer.... for a European tour next year, he'll be at least 10 months older from now and that's a lot at this age...

Maybe you will luck out and get arena shows again...or just a handful of larger shows...no more than 8-10.
These tours used to only be 12-15 shows Afterall

Anyway...another successful tour under their belts...after 62 years, how can anyone expect this to last much longer in its current model??
They will never announce a "farewell tour"...and until its signed sealed and delivered, there is no upcoming tour...even announced tours have the possibility of not happening,
cancelled shows, reduced dates, etc...as we've seen in the recent past...

I doubt there will be more than 14-15 shows, kinda like what they always did the last few years, tbh I was really surprised that the US got 19 (plus one in Canada), it seemed a lot to me from the beginning...and yeah I'm sadly aware that anything could happen, not only but especially at their age...

but I'm glad that granted that they'll hopefully all stay fit and healthy for as long as possible, they are eager to keep going and want to tour more...after 2021, and not even after 2022 I wasn't so sure about that...I remembered Ronnie posting a vid from his hotel room in Berlin and he sounded like he was almost crying because he probably had no clue whether they'd tour again...now they all seem to already be looking ahead to next year (and recording) and nobody looks like he wants to retire any time soon 🙏🏻

Thanks, even if not the best quality, still very interesting, for some reason I hadn't realised before that in the back on the hill people were actually sitting in the grass and there were no assigned seats (kinda a little like at Waldbühne Berlin, just no grass there)....kinda reminds me more of outdoor cinema than a concert like that with people actually sitting on blankets and all :D

Loved the venue, loved Branson, as usual it looked really difficult and pricey but everything fell together at the last minute, flights and lodging cheap almost to the end and scored myself a defacto free floor ticket but when I walked in I knew I would have been happy even on side hill, way better sightlines and much closer than your typical shed lawn.

Easily one of the best Stones shows I have seen.
