One of the better looking posters this tour, not among the top 3, but at least it's not ugly or weird^^ is Vancouver famous for its harbour, or why the ship?

Song vote's up! Interesting choices but a bit ridiculous they'd put up SFM

I'm not sure why the harbor, or why not a cruise ship, TBH...when I hear "harbor", referring to a famous one, I think NY and/or Hong Kong...but this is the beginning of the Wiki entry... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_of_Vancouver The Port of Vancouver is the largest port in Canada and the fourth largest in North America by tonnes of cargo, facilitating trade between Canada and more than 170 world economies. The port is managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, which was created in 2008 as an amalgamation of the former Port of Vancouver, the North Fraser Port Authority, and the Fraser River Port Authority. It is the principal authority for shipping and port-related land and sea use in the Metro Vancouver region. It is a pretty poster though. off topic, Voted for OOC and weed is legal. :weed Oh Canada, Indeed! :weed |

Hmm interesting, thanks for looking up the info! So it seems it has quite some meaning for the city of Vancouver after all^^
Lol weed is legal in Germany now too btw, just as a little side info in case people are travelling back here hopefully for some European shows next year ;D Also voted for OOC cause they haven't done it so far this tour I believe (okay neither SFM but they did this all the time the last few tours, so personally I'm not sad it's getting a break) |

https://americansongwriter.com/5-classic-rolling-stones-songs-missing-from-their-2024-tour/
5 songs the Stones should play but haven't yet this tour, according to American Songwriter...well, as it seems, SFM will be played tonight! But I 100% agree with them that they also should play CYHMK (what a great version they played at HP1 2 years ago! They totally gotta dig that out!), Ruby Tuesday (it was wonderful in Munich in 2022), Angie (why wasn't it even among the vote songs this tour, I can't remember seeing it even a single time as a choice :o)...and well, Rip This Joint of course would be amazing, especially now that with Steve on the drums they actually had the chance to play it fast again, idek when they last played it...will try to look it up Edit: if the site with first and last played is up to date (which I believe it must be seeing that I cannot remember them playing it on any more recent tour) Rip This Joint last was played on 2003 in Paris :O...time to dig that one out^^ |

I actually voted ADTL but any choice is good. Perfect weather in Vancouver so the dome should be open. Kind of melancholy as this for me could really be the Last Time

Saw the show last night (kind getting around this tour).
It was exceptional. Lots of fun. Guitars were rocking start to finish. SFM was so goddam good. Looking back, Vegas really was kind of sloppy. Congrats to the Vancouver crowd. They got a good one. |

I heard they apparently soundchecked BMHO but then didn't play it...same happened at the first Metlife show with Tell Me Straight, I think they used it as a rehearsal, then Keith finally played it at the 2nd show...means they will very likely FINALLY play BMHO in LA!!

Would be amazing to see! Even tho I'd rather have had Gaga at one of the Metlife shows for SSOH when it comes to the guest stars on HD, not because I attended those shows but because I personally like Gaga more than Macca :P but as long as they finally play BMHO I don't care...even tho, if they only play one mkre HD song this tour, I wish it were Dreamy Skies *sigh* |

https://youtu.be/wMpVlKqxKRI?feature=shared Such a cool interview with the owner of that Indian restaurant in Vancouver, he said that not only Mick was there, but actually the entire band, all four of them! It's so nice to know they're going out for dinner together like that :) someone also mentioned on IORR that during rehearsals in LA, they saw Mick and Keith eating together :) |

https://bc.ctvnews.ca/rolling-stones-vip-ticket-holders-kept-in-tunnel-for-90-minutes-before-vancouver-show-concertgoer-says-1.6957630
This is utterly terrible...the fact someone actually died, how awful :/ I don't understand why the venues don't take into account such factors as weather and available space...e.g. in Orlando it was hot af as well and vip ticket holders actually mentioned that they were glad they were let inside earlier so they were out of the sun, but there also was enough space to wait inside, and not just a narrow tunnel as it appeared to have been in Vancouver... Plus maybe now that they know the soundcheck only starts at 5pm during this tour they maybe should overthink when vip entry actually needs to start...I think they really ought to be more flexible to changing situations and not blindly stick to protocol I really apprecciated the staff at Metlife stadium, because they actually listened to what we had to tell them (for the 2nd show, after the entry at the 1st was a bit rude at one point from staff side and we were yelled at) and then they changed their approach after sone suggestions made by me and others who talked to them and everything went perfect the 2nd time, and the staff even thanked us for telling them how things are working at Stones shows with the vip/normal pit entry and everything because it's different for every band of course... |
