Title: Favorite guitar weaving songs from each lineup? Post by StickyStones on Jun 29th, 2024 at 1:42am
Like songs by each lineup where the guitars play perfectly off each other.
For me: Keith/Brian - 19th Nervous Breakdown, It's All Over Now Keith/Mick Taylor - Can't You Hear Me Knockin', Bitch Keith/Ronnie - Shattered / Beast of Burden You? |

I think your picks are perfect. I would just add Keith/Taylor Midnight Rambler Ya Ya's.

In this one I would add Bill Wyman's bass, a great bass-guitar1-guitar2 weaving, love it |

Also, two of the most underrated Bill Wyman bass parts IMO are Dandelion and Child of the Moon. The bass in both really helps the song and it isn't just rhythm. Similarly, Too Much Blood, and Ronnie's bass on Emotional Rescue is like the song's secondary main character. |

I think the entirety of that record and really Keith & Mick Taylor on any given 1969 show is just magic. I don't like 1972-1973 when there was a massive separation between lead and rhythm guitar and it kinda felt like each was trying to outplay the other. in 1969 they gelled and gelled well. |
