That sounds so cool!! Tbh I'm feeling the Dirty Work album is getting way too much hate...I understand why the Stones themsevles don't fancy it, seeing the circumstances it was produced in, obviously they much rather enjoy the conditions that Hackney Diamonds was created in, Mick and Keith all in harmony, being supportive of each other and enjoying spending time together in the studio, and not at each other's throat, throwing insults like in the 80s...but I always felt that the album is kinda underrated, it's not as bad as loads of people make it out to be...I like that loads of songs are fast-paced, really great to work out to  ;D

Keith once said, before the punk rock scene existed, that he was a nothing but a punk, don't remember the extact quote and it was for him of for them as a band

Love it! Thank you

there's a memorable quote from jagger during this time period when
asked about some punk bands shit-talking the Stones, "c'mon, how are
they gonna out-punk keith, it can't be done"

Keith was punk while Sid Vicious was a nothing kid

Liking this version.

Sounds a bit similar in style to She Was Hot which is no bad thing.

Shame this version couldn't have gone on a 12" single.

...which brings to mind another good joke from back then, as told by a DJ
on a rock station after Sid followed Keith in getting busted for heroin

"...inspired by the judge in the Keith Richards case who ordered the
rock star to play a concert for the blind, the judge here in New York
has now ordered Sid Vicious to play a concert for the deaf."

This is not the one you're talking about but a quote by Keith

“There was a certain sense of renewal. A lot of it was, we’ve got to out-punk the punks. Because they can’t play, and we can. All they can do is be punks. Yes, that might have been a certain thorn in the side. The Johnny Rottens, “these fucking kids.” I love every band that comes along. That’s why I’m here, to encourage guys to play and get bands together. But when they’re not playing anything, they’re just spitting on people, now come on, we can do better than that.”

― Keith Richards, Life
