What’s up with the price of used copies of the “Stripped” (not “Totally Stripped”) LP? I bought the CD when it was first released, but I have been rebuilding my vinyl collection for a few years, and “Stripped” is one of the only holes in the Stones section. With prices approaching) $200 (211 Euros), isn’t it time to re-release this gem?

I assume the Virgin/EMI releases went out of print

When Universal bought over the back catalogue, they never reissued 'No Security' or 'Rarities Vol.1' and (I think) 'Live Licks' (could be wrong on the last one). Think '40 Licks' only came out again recently too

'Stripped' was a big seller at the time but I guess its probably deemed to be obsolete now with the subsequent issue of 'Totally Stripped' in 2016. So, I'd assume UMG never reissued the original album either.

That would be a bummer, as some of the tastiest stuff on “Stripped” isn’t on “Totally Stripped.”

maybe they only reissued it on CD. I dont collect vinyl so I really dont know

Stripped was a big seller (something like 3 million, I think). No Security tanked - their worst selling 'new' product ever at the time. So I can understand why one was reissued and the other wasn't

I was curious and checked eBay...and YES...$200 for the LP.
And I thought todays $30+ retail price tag for new vinyl was crazy...

I gave away all my vinyl years ago...and recently gave away all my CDs (700+).
I am decluttering my life.

Anyone want to buy a comic book collection?
About 8000 issues 80's thru 2009??

I know that School Kids Records recently (a few months ago) acquired a huge Stones collection.
I went in and had them play a few for me while I browsed...the original 12 in Miss You is STILL amazing.
I can't recall if Stripped was amongst the pile or not.
