I just saw Men in Black 3. Yeah, old news I know. Your choices are limited in the hospital. But the Andy Warhol scene! That he was some kind of agent watching for alien infiltration makes so much more sense than him actually being as he's been described. I've read about Warhol before, of course. It was like one of those moments when you watch a show or hear musuc from your parents youth and you just can't believe that was supposed to be so cool. That scene in the movie reminded me of that. Really though, is there something about Warhol and his shtick that I'm not getting?

He was good with colours.
As a kiddie, as her lay in bed ill-ish, his mother would give him a Hersey bar for each colour-by-number/colouring book page he completed. Happy days. It's sad to hear you are in hospital, but maybe painting and drawing could be well nice. Hersheys too. |

Pure Genius....on so may levels...from the simplest to the deepest...and, yes, like Superheavies, some of his jaunts were crappy vanity projects...however, his exhibit last year at the Whitney was awesome...in spite of the absence of Jagger
Without him there would not have been a Velvet Underground...his Madison Ave ads in the 50's and 60's were considered art by themselves by many...I will stop now A speedy recovery for you...get better |

I'm good with colors, symmetry and textures too. (And who doesn't love Hersheys?) In all seriousness, that's a common trait for autistics. I have what they used to call Asperger's Syndrome. It makes me wonder about Warhol even though his sense of symmetry was rather askew.
On a less serious note, in the movie Mick had been suspected of being an alien who came to Earth to breed with human women. Keep in mind that the movie is from 2012, before he knocked up the ballerina. Since they were right about Mick I began to wonder about Warhol. |
