Good question, he's alive and well, but probably needs some money.

During many tears he was absent from reality, nuts, same as Syd Barret the excess of LSD made them stay on a deep loooong trip.

Fortunately, Peter survived and had been playing for many years, some good records btw. Unfortunately, Syd didn’t make it
