300,400,or 500 dollars per ticket is lots of dough for the average person.why can,t the stones make the setlist 25 songs instead of 18?i love mick and the boys.but I know they can do more for their loyal fans.jagger has the energy, even if they do a few ballads to give him a rest.any comments?

Welcome!
Yes, a setlist with more songs could be fine but they are playing long versions of many of the songs they're playing! It's a 2 h show (2:15 average) and they are 72, 72, 75 and 68 YO so we are lucky to see those bastards kicking their asses off for us for more than 2 hours per show |

The age thing is a factor no matter what the image is...not everyone can be a Paul McCartney and play 38-40 songs per show...

FYPA;WY?
Mick Jagger runs 11,000 times what Paul walks in a concert, singing and running is not easy, try it! Paul sings "Let it Be", Mick "Let it Bleed" |

Voodoo, please tell Mick to add "Gomper", "No Expectations", "Connection", "Tops" and "Hey Negrita" just to please the newb.
Does he prefer Mick T to Ronnie? |

Dumping Midnight Rambler and YCAGWYW would be a way to get more songs in. Rambler is the highlight though - what a song!

Bruce Springsteen is 66. Doing 34-35 song sets lasting 3-3.5 hours and is running all over the stage. |

Is more actually better? Is 10 hits of LSD any better than say 3 hits? Too often in this society we are concerned with quantity rather than quality. We are bombarded with the notion that if we just fight more and fuck more and drink more, we will be emotionally fulfilled. That is why, like all real Americans, I have pledged my support for Donald Jefferson Trump.

They could shorten a few of the warhorses like Brown Sugar and add maybe 3-4 more tunes. However at this stage of the run let's be Happy they are playing at all (and rather well too!)

Ditch Miss You and put in a couple of "rarities" and I'd be happier than a pig in shit.

15 minutes of Midnight Rambler
10 minutes of SFTD 10 minutes of Miss You 10 minutes of YCAGWYW 8 minutes of Gimme Shelter, Brown Sugar and Satisfaction They play 6-7 songs on 1:10 hour, the Stones are like the Greateful Dead or Zeppellin on the 70's with few songs and endless jams. |

Well Soldatti, The Grateful Dead jams were more than 15 minutes but good point with the times of those songs

I'm just listening at Buenos Aires second show boot:
Midnight Rambler (17:00) Miss You (9:36) Gimme Shelter (7:42) SFTD (7:49) Brown Sugar (8:42) YCAGWYW (8:34) Satisfaction (8:35) 7 songs on 1 hour and 8 minutes. And on Buenos Aires last show (Feb 13) the last 8 songs clock in at 1 hour, 17 minutes with a 11 minutes version of Satisfaction (a 3:45 original song). |

I personally would not mind if , for example, they eliminated ANY warhorse and subbed it with a nice medley of the older stuff...the songs that were originally under 3 min or so...just to touch on those old gems...the Brian era stuff...pre-BB stuff...

I'm fine with two hours of music. I like the long jams. Rambler is my favorite, and they can stretch that as long as they'd like.
The war horses are still exciting to hear. Keith Richards blasting into Brown Sugar on a vintage Fender never gets old. |

I'm disappointed, Starwax. I had hope to see some developed thinking out of you this year. I said to my self earlier: "This may really be Starslab's year to break out from fish." Now I'm wondering what I was thinking what I was talking to myself earlier. This is dismal. No two ways about it, just dismal. |
