President Franklin D. Pierce
Franklin D. Pierce was the 14th President of the United States and by all accounts, the drunkest one, by far. His family life was fraught with tragedy; his children all died very young and his wife suffered from severe depression. Pierce drank heavily, in spite of the very apparent negative impact on his health. When leaving office, friends asked Pierce how he would spend his time. Pierce responded, "There's nothing left, but to get drunk." And get drunk, he did. He died from cirrhosis of the liver on October 8, 1869, at his home in Concord, New Hampshire, 12 years after leaving the White House. |

Please explain how those are inconsistent positions. Frey was in the Eagles. That's worse than being in some 80s temperance movement, although neither is American. |

Never been a fan, however never had anything against her.

When death comes, just say no…
oh, doesn't work… abstinence isn't a policy for health issues. I'm not a fan of revisionist history… if it makes anyone feel better, I'll be dead one day too, feel free to say anything you want about how I lived my life… do it now, why wait? |
