Hi Guys
This show premiered in Britain yesterday and I was wondering what people thought? |

Good show hold on, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

I was disappointed to be quite honest. Still I'll stick with it for now.

I loved it, two episodes in now and it has the right feel, if a tad over the top.

I am getting into it. I agree that parts are over the top, but this was the 70s and things did go a bit wild.

Our main character uses a lot of cocaine.

I am disappointed. This was a very interesting time in the music business and I don't think it needs to be so "Scorsese'd" in order to engage the audience. He should have spent less time coming up with over-the-top violent scenes and more time negotiating for use of the actual recordings of the bands. I had heard it called the "Mad Men" of the music biz, but so far it is not.
I'll stick with it for now, but so far I have to say "meh". |

Mick needs to forget about film and concentrate on what he does best.

So far I'm not there yet. I'm hoping it builds up. Andrew Dice Clay was the best character so far and they killed him off too soon. A serious Ray Romano, really? Olivia Wilde was especially hot in the bathroom sex scene. James Jagger is pleasantly interesting and I cant take my eyes off of him. The Andy Warhol scene was very cool but it could be fiction masquerading as truth so I question the authenticity of the entire series. Its a fine line deciding whether I can believe it or if they are faking it for the ratings. I'm going to stick with it mainly for some more James hopefully in some good sex scenes, and the music creates a cool vibe.

OTOH, I suppose it's a good thing that Andrew Clay Silverstein is available; I can't think of a better running mate for Trump.

A very bad soap opera. "It reeks" [says Bono.]

Agreed! Over the top. That Mercer Arts Centre scene was fucking ludicrous. And although it's early days as far as acting is concerned for the young gun Jimmy, I think, stick to music son; there's a good lad. |
