Title: Buying out of print albums - (high Steve Young content) Post by Starbuck on Feb 15th, 2016 at 11:28pm
Anyone have any experience trying to get hold of an out of print album?
I happened upon Steve Young's "Rock Salt and Nails" via Youtube a year or so ago and have been looking for it in record stores from time to time, to no avail. I am dying to hear the whole thing. Any websites that deal in this sort of thing? Amazon has it listed for about $60, which I'm thinking about. The bigger question here is howe did such a f*$&%ing awesome album go out of print to begin with. But that is a question for a different thread. Meanwhile, enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=968naSqNH98 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byS3Ry-QsUY Good song before the Eagles got hold of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpV83ovYAyY (Thisun's not on the album, but worth the spin anyhoo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5iaoTbRYbU&list=PLNgbCNxPxKWVQyHVcp62e6UKPT1Whc9AV |

Yeah, I thought you were referring to the Mormon Steve Young too. Mormons are not Christians. Mormons consider Christianity to be an apostate religion, although they run away from that now for purely political reasons, not because they hold Christians in any less disdain than they always did.
Thanks for the info on Seven Bridges Road, which is up there on the list of most annoying Eagles songs, at least the way they turn it into spazz-geek-country that no true Rolling Stones fan would ever take seriously. The Eagles reached a level of phoniness on that song that they found hard to match later. Only the Eagles could take some poor, passionate struggling songwriter's emotion and turn into Burger King radio. |

I was listening to that $#@!ing game on the radio on that day - I remember it well.
And I knew when I posted this thread that there was a better than 50/50 chance you would bring it up. |

Try thrift stores and yard sales. Be flexible on format--cassette, record, or cd.
Good Luck! |
