Documentary About Bill Wyman Being Made with Full Cooperation of Ex-Rolling Stones Bassist
August 5, 2015 ABC Radio. All rights reserved A new documentary focusing on longtime Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman titled It’s Always the Quiet Ones currently is in pre-production, ScreenDaily.com reports. The movie, which will be the first feature-length film by director Ollie Murray, is being made with Wyman’s full cooperation and will feature previously unseen footage, photos and memorabilia from the 78-year-old rock star’s personal archives. It’s Always the Quiet Ones takes an in-depth and candid look at Wyman, who played with The Rolling Stones for more than 30 years before retiring from the band in 1993. The doc follows the musician from his blue-collar upbringing in World War II-era London through his eventful years with the Stones, which included the group’s mid-’60s rise to fame and involvement in the cultural revolution that occurred during that decade, as well as its excesses and continued success in the ensuing decades. The movie will feature interviews with Wyman, as well as with his band mates, friends and family members. Beyond playing with The Stones and various other musical projects, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is a knowledgeable blues historian and author, and served as The Stones unofficial archivist, amassing an impressive collection of artifacts and keeping a detailed daily journal during his time with the group. In June, Wyman released his first solo album in more than 30 years, Back to Basics. He also continues to perform with his group The Rhythm Kings. |

Not exactly surprising he's in "full cooperation" with the only (and unnamed) entity that is goofy enough to want to make a documentary about him. Think they'll have a segment about Wyman spazzing the fuck out over the Dartford rail station placard?
