I will be there. Let's meet up before the show. There doesn't seem to be any big pre party. I was looking at the Tailgate Sports Pub because it's right on the edge of the parking lot. Great logisitics.

Rolling Stones tap UT Arlington choir for opportunity of a lifetime

UT Arlington A Cappella Choir

The UT Arlington a cappella choir gets the opportunity of a lifetime: singing with the Rolling Stones.

Some musical North Texas students are about to perform with one of the world's greatest rock bands: The Rolling Stones have chosen the University of Texas at Arlington a cappella choir to join them on their June 6 stop at AT&T Stadium.

What the students are singing will not be revealed until they appear onstage, but the victory is in the opportunity. This is the only Texas stop for the Stones on their 15-city Zip Code Tour.

The honor is just the latest for UTA a cappella choir, which has also appeared before the Texas Music Educators Convention, with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, at the national convention of the American Choral Directors Association, and with the Manhattan Philharmonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.

“We are really thrilled that our students will have the opportunity to perform with one of the greatest rock bands in the world,” said Karen Kenaston-French, associate professor of music and director of choral activities in the UTA College of Liberal Arts. “This is great exposure for our students.”

The Dallas concert is the fourth stop for the Rolling Stones on their trip around North America that will also go to cities like Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Kansas City and Detroit before finishing up in Quebec on July 15.

Last night I found out out about the Grease Monkey gathering spot as mentioned here.
This seems the way to go. More fans from the boards and a shuttle if needed.
I'm at the courtyard 1/2 mile from the stadium. I should be in about 2 ish and should be at the Grease Monkey 3-3:30 latest. I just sent a pm.

AT&T Stadium has instituted a policy prohibiting purses and bags inside the stadium. Please be aware of the AT&T Stadium Purse and Bag Policy.

Video boards will not be in use for this event.

Traffic and Parking

We recommend pre-purchasing your parking pass. By pre-purchasing your parking, you guarantee a space in an AT&T Stadium parking lot and can plan your route to the stadium accordingly.

Abram Street is under construction between Collins Street and Highway 360. This will affect out-bound traffic on Collins Street South to Abram Street from Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14. As an alternative, we suggest using Collins Street South to Park Row; Turn left on Park Row to Highway 360 or further east to George Bush Toll Highway (Highway 161).

We suggest using www.dallascowboysmaps.com for your travels to AT&T Stadium. This website provides you the best route from your point of origin to your pre-purchased or selected cash lot.

Below are two suggested routes to use for arrival. These alternative routes will allow you to avoid the heavily congested Collins Street, Ballpark Way and AT&T Way exits off of I-30.

I-30 Westbound Preferred Route: Take I-30 Westbound to SH 161; Take SH 161 Southbound to Main Street/Division Street exit; Turn Right on Main Street/Division Street; Turn Right on AT&T Way to Silver Lots or Turn Right on Collins Street to Blue Lots.

I-30 Eastbound Preferred Route: Take I-30 Eastbound to Center Street (Exit 27B); Keep Right on ramp towards Center Street; Turn Right on Center Street; Turn Left on Randol Mill Road to Blue Lots or Turn Left on Division Street and Left on AT&T Way to Silver Lots.

The I-30 HOV lane is open and available for use. Look for the exit signs for the "Express Lane".

Tailgating

Tailgating is permitted in designated tailgating spaces located along the perimeter of each of the AT&T Stadium and Rangers parking lots. The spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

There will be no early admittance into parking lots.

Parking privileges can be revoked at any time for failure to follow parking guidelines.
