Hard to say, that's why I'm asking the question.

Jagger plays best harmonica.  His playing is beyond comparison.

WARNING...i have been listening to Dylan ALL DAY LONG today...non-stop

I looooove Jagger's harp playing...unfortunately he is a kin to a one trick pony...if only he would play it more often. Off the top of my head i can only think of 2 songs where he is w/o peers, Rambler, of course and Love is Strong...there are more, I know...but I struggle at this moment

Dylan, like Neil Young, uses it (watch for it...here it comes...) instrumentally   (ahhhh, did you see what I did there? Did ya?) in his arrangements and composing. He and Jagger also play different styles....which makes a difference in my mind

Dylan, because of the John Wesley Harding album, and because of "One Too Many Mornings".

Joey I'm on probation for an entire year and have to give drug tests my brother.

But they can't test for red wine..

I'm surprised people think it's close or that Dylan is better. Mick is a much better player. The stuff Dylan does, Mick can do with one hand. The question should be is Dylan better or Ronnie Wood. Mick is no Little Walter, Larry Adler, Toots Thielemans, or Jerry Portnoy, but he's a hell of a lot better than Dylan.

I'd like to change my vote. I realized I was being contrarian. Jagger gets my vote.

Dylan is Dylan, still.

Apples and oranges. Jagger generally does the single note sucking style, whereas Dylan generally goes for the chordal blowing style. Two very different players. Dumb comparison.

yeah 2 different styles, both excellent, but I gotta go with MICK because he thrills me when I hear him play it live and I dont have that reaction with Dylan. Higher highs from MICK, for sure!
