Evidently this has only been circulating a few weeks. Jagger seems like he's had at least a few Scotch & Cokes. Fun stuff!
This show is not on Gazza's setlist, although one in Berlin two days later is. Maybe it really is a lost show discovered? :areyoufuckingserious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_UxLKG7Qcg#t=121 |

That Satisfaction sounds almost as good as the one on Still Life!!
I can appreciate the nostalgia and the rareness of it...but i think this is unlistenable. Like bad karaoke...on a boom box... |

yes, it is indeed a newly circulated show, not just a newly circulated recording.
Pretty incredible after all this time. There is some brief TV footage of one song from the first show, but nothing else until now. Its not sure whether this recording comes from the first or second show. I havent heard it yet myself as I've had no home PC for the last two weeks so I cant comment on it, but I'm sure its not the same as the Berlin show two days later, which has been in circulation for decades and which is in really poor audience quality. Quite an exciting find, because whilst the Stones played just over 1,000 concerts in the era that Brian was in the band, there are barely a dozen of them in general circulation. Bizarrely enough, aside from a line recording of Brian's final US date (Honolulu 28.7.66), not a single one of them is from an American concert. All the others are from Europe or Australia. |

Yes, but it's the friggin' Rolling Stones doing bad karaoke on a boom box -- when I was still in nappies! |

It is a bummer because of the mix...Mick is louder then everything else by a mile and a quarter...you can even hear him inhaling between lines of lyrics. Charlie and Bill are way in the background and one of the 2 guitars is much more listenable then the other...
Its an exciting find to a bunch of fans who thought nothing like this would happen again, but its biggest drawback is its not from 1981... |
