Chris Jagger has already released eight studio albums since 1973

Mick Jagger has announced that he will appear on the new album by his younger brother, Chris Jagger.

The Rolling Stones frontman revealed earlier today via Twitter, that he will appear on 'Concertina Jack', his brother's ninth studio album. Though not sharing his older sibling's success, Chris Jagger has released a string of solo albums since 1973, including 2009's 'The Ridge'.

Mick Jagger appears on two tracks on the album – the title track plus a song called 'Diamonds And Pearls'. "I'm not a big one for anniversaries,” says Chris Jagger in a statement, "but in the brew ha ha revolving around The Rolling Stones and 50 years I realised it's 40 years since my first record came out." Recorded in France, the album also features Bobby Kees and Tim Rees, who play horns for The Rolling Stones.

I liked it. The other song featuring Mick is called 'Pearl of a Girl'

The title song refers to a great-uncle of theirs who left England to sail to Australia around 1880 (coincidentally, around the same time as Ned Kelly was hanged!)

Bobby Keys and Tim Ries play on the album as well.

Another little bump for this record. Highly recommended.

Doesn't sound too bad...catchy...quirky...melodic and fun. I  am serious when I say this...this would make one of those great kid's songs...CJ has that kinda fun uncle look about him...ala Dan Zane or They Might Be Giants...who are really big on the kiddie circuit.

I checked this out recently and found it very catchy. In the video for the title track CJ seems so quirky and fun. Worth a listen for sure.

Of course if it is...only the first 2 would apply...maybe the third since the movie came out late 1995
