Meanwhile, in another galaxy, the Beatles release their second 2-CD volume of BBC sessions next week - almost two decades after their hugely successful first one. It comes out the same day as the Stones' Hyde Park release - it'll outsell it by miles, even though the recordings have been bootlegged to death (there are about 10 discs of The Fabs' BBC sessions available on Purple Chick)

The Who, David Bowie, The Kinks, The Smiths and lots of other acts have managed to put out such a release.

And the potential legal hassles with ABKCO are no longer a significant stumbling block.

There's only a couple of songs from Leeds that weren't broadcast (JJf and Live with Me) but as the recordings were made by Glyn Johns on the Stones' mobile and then broadcast seven weeks later, I'd guess that the full show is more likely to be in the Stones' archives than the BBC's. Especially as there has been a circulating tape from soundboard source as opposed to directly from the broadcast.

It would be nice to get a CD of the full Leeds show with the Sticky Fingers deluxe which has now been apparently put back to spring 2014 due to the decision to release 'Sweet Summer Sun'. Supposedly we're getting the Marquee show on DVD/blu ray as part of that package.

that would be some good live stuff, any guess as to what bonus studio tracks would get released?
two things that jump out are the early version of Brown Sugar with the slide, that is said to be Clapton and the single version of Sway… which is a different mix… and a third, cock sucker blues… This is the Hillside blue era correct? there's probably a ton of shit even the bootleggers and collectors don't know exists or only know in theory.
knowing what you know Gazza, following the Some girls and Exile  releases, what do you think a bonus studio Disc would look like? and I hope they do something like they did with Texas 78, and do a separate live release, in this case two different shows Leeds audio and Marquee video, but leave it separate from the SF deluxe...
