Just woke up after a night of heavy , HEAVY drinking with Keith ............................ Moon , that is !!!!

Yesterday afternoon -- around 3:30 -- your young Joey was sitting at the office , typing away , when the phone rang . So who was on the other end ? ... that's right .... the one and only Keith " Dear Boy " Moon announcing his arrival ( never punctual ) into town and willingness and readiness to PARTY !!!!!!
I promptly hung up the phone , powered down , left the office and headed Downtown to Keith's favorite brew pub knowing full well that I had better stop and get something to eat lest I end up passed out in a dumpster or a construction skip somewhere in a VERY unfriendly part of the city .

When I got to The Upstream Brewery I found Keith inside standing at the front of the Main Bar --- ( Keith NEVER likes to drink outside in the courtyards as they are waaaay to calm and boring with Happy Hour Stiffs , Undercover Police Officers , couples and desultory sycophants obsequiously flattering the closest toady ) --- drinking a 23 Ounce Pint of " Uptoberfest " , a Brandy Alexander , a shot of " American Honey " , ' something ' resembling an " Old Fashioned " and not necessarily in THAT order . I ( Again , your young Joey ) took a deep breath , walked the few steps down to where Keith was standing and was promptly introduced --- By Moonie --- to this gorgeous brunette waitress / bartender / bar manager with German Features ( ... if you know what I mean :) ) . One thing led to another and within the hour I had already pounded down three tall pints of the Uptoberfest , two Brandy Alexanders , four shots of Makers Mark and a concoction containing --- I swear --- Goldschlager AND GM . Mmmmmmmmm !!!!!!!!!

It was this very point that Moonie and myself began to talk about how well The Rolling Stones played on their latest spring / summer tour and how much exposure the band gave to a brand new ( much younger ) audience what with the festivals and conveniently priced 85 Ticky's . Keith mentioned that he attended both Hyde Park I & II as well as Glastonbury and brayed that he could not BELIEVE how many audience members in their twenties he saw Rocking Out to JJF , Satisfaction , SMU , etc ................ thus securing the Stones Legacy / future with the World's Youth . I asked Moonie if the band will perform next spring and he mentioned that negotiations are currently underway between the Coachella Festival Organizers and Mick & Keef with the Stones potentially headlining BOTH Sunday Evenings in April . After a few ( Six ?! ) more beers and shots we discussed a potential tour of South America whan all of a sudden , seemingly out of nowhere , three elegant , alluring , comely , winsome Swedish models appeared by Keith's side --- surrounding him entirely ---- and each ( successively and seemlessly ) grabbed his cock .

With that our beloved " Dear Boy " was off ... up the stairs and out the door ....... a mirthful figure loved by all .........

I'm drinking by myself, and I'm still wondering about the future of the RS. The RS is the name of a bar ("RS" stands for RARO Y SOLITARIO: the mood I'm in right now) that stands right next to the corner of my imagination.

I'm also thinking about cutting down slightly on this whole alcohol consumption thing. Not exclusively because of health related issues, but because I want to get some work done. (And I don't want to be fat again.) Ever seen Sidney Lumet's The Verdict? I haven't; at least the whole film; just saw some bits (Newman had a great acting part), but I re-watched Network (another Lumet movie, of course) last thursday and it remains as good as ever. William Holden: another great alcoholic. Too bad he died in such a humiliating way.

I'm going to miss alcohol a lot, when I'll stop drinking it.

Quitting alcohol is usually a bad idea. Most people who quit re-consider key factors in the decision and change their mind within a matter of weeks, days. Sometimes hours.

Not saying everyone, just most people.

I read that Pete Townshend started to really lose his hair when he stopped drinking. It must be the stress. But he was rich and had a family. I have a family. And I have access to booze. Anyway, my hair began to fall since I turned thirty, so screw it. I will cut down my alcohol consumption a little bit, though; like I wrote, I need to get some work done. I'm not abandoning.

I'm happy to announce that I will be soon smoking a lot of pot. Maybe not in this life, but probably by the year 2030, or 2050, when it will surely be legalized here in México. See, I'm a civilized human who enjoys respecting the law, so unless I'm being victimized by social pressure I won't smoke those prohibited herbs, and instead will continue to calmly chug down vodka during the present weekdays.
