The rumours that the Rolling Stones organised a fast-track master of recordings of their two 2013 Hyde Park shows have proved to be true, with the band releasing a live album of the shows on iTunes.

The album will be available for a limited period of four weeks, from 22nd July until 19th August.

The track-list is as follows (Show 1 is 6th July, show 2 is 13th July):

Personally happy to pay the money to own this - particularly cause I was at the first Hyde Park show. Good opportunity to hear a mastered soundboard recording of the 50 And Counting live stuff, especially songs like Emotional Rescue. It's no surprise thst the "Start Me Up" selected was from the second show ;)

Glad they aren't sitting on stuff, but wondering why they didn't go the way of just releasing every show. I can only assume it a quality over quantity, and don't want the warts out there.

Next up could be an iTunes release of all the guest slots across the tour.. All I know is this is sounding like a great addition to my iTunes library!

The recording sounds great.  You can hear every guitar part on "Emotional Rescue"...tasty stuff.  If you asked me in 2007 if the Stones could sound THIS good in 2013 I would've laughed.  They sound fantastic.

That's not confirmed anywhere officially. I read it on IORR then confirmed it myself by cross-referencing set-lists and amateur footage on Youtube.

LOL..I know..that's Patrick's site (and a very good one too).  The source of each song isnt mentioned on the official press release on the band's own page, so I was just wondering if it had been confirmed anywhere officially where each song comes from or was it just a case of fans with good ears listening to the circulating recordings of each show and figuring it out themselves.

At present it's the latter. You heard it yet? They included quite a bit of Mick's between-song dialogue from the show we both attended - very good to reminisce, with such good sound quality too. Though they didn't include All Down The Line, I definitely thought they nailed it!

No. I havent heard it yet, just downloaded it a few minutes ago.

I notice a Japanese poster on IORR figured out the songs based on his audience recordings (and noted that 'Brown Sugar' had been 'fixed')...glad he got to do the donkey work and I didn't have to!

That will need to be a great version of 'Gimme Shelter' from night 2 if they reckoned it was better than the first night, because the one on 6th July absolutely smoked.

I swear, listening to "Midnight Rambler" during the middle "don't do that" section...I think I'm listening to the version off LA Friday or something.  Rarely am I reminded of vintage Stones in a present day recording, but this performance definitely does that.

finally got to listen… amazing performance and quality recording and mix. really impressed, they really, really need to consider doing this more often with the setlists being so varied, with some great gems and Taylor on some of those gems… just saying!!!!

Totally shocked how good this sounds. Thanks to Marko and others for the links. I do hope enough fans do get this through ITunes or the concept likely will not be repeated...IF/WHEN phase 2 of this tour kicks off.
