just wondering, are these in standard or HD quality?
and the pathetic part is, I still never have been able to convert DVD dl's, not sure what I did wrong, couldn't burn them or anything...

The transport stream is 16gigs, first I'm going to put it into TSMuxer to make a bluray out of it...then I will put it in Convertxtodvd and make a dual layer DVD-9 out of it, don't want to make DVD-5's out of it it'll lose too much of its amazing quality being compressed that much.

please let me know how I can help with the cost of this?.....great idea trimming the size and hopefully not hurting quality. MPEG will play ok in USA right?

This will be region free, it'll play anywhere, I have a DVD player that will play European PAL format but most won't over here. I've never seen blurays that are region specific. I'm only going to compress it to 8.5gig dual layers, the quality is spectcular! This will be a "holy grail" release, something like this only comes around every several years!:)

i'm afraid to even ask how much you threw down… I can't imagine, well I can… but jeez. and in this day and age, of things becoming downloadable so fast, you're a brave man taking a plunge.

The 4GB complete show on HC looks perfect on my HDTV. I can't figure out how 12 more GBs of data can make it look better?!?!

It does? Thats good to know. This will likely be my first foray into BluRay territory as I've always been so impressed with what I have already seen in regular HD...
