I see myself in a few weeks wanting to revisit these last few months and I'd love to have one place where I can go and do that.  With all the amazing reviews, videos and pictures gathered on this board in the last month, I think it'd be great to compile it all in one large heap.

Also, I'd love to use this space to celebrate key moments in the tour that we found memorable ...kind of a "best of" compilation.  There are many to choose from and I'm sure we all have our own favorite moments.  With the North American leg over....Let's celebrate them!

The first few moments that absolutely stick out for me as tour highlights from the North American leg:

"Street Fighting Man" -  This video blew me away.  I had not seen the Stones THIS engaged and focused in a long time.  When Keith talks about hitting that groove with the band that it starts to feel like you're "levitating"--this must be what he's talking about.

"Can't You Hear Me Knocking" - LA Debut....all I remember was joy taking over me when I heard the opening chords rip.  The joy turned into shock and disbelief when I saw Taylor standing there with the band.  Later when he slipped into his solo....I was honestly in another world.

The sheer poignancy of two one off songs for departed friends who left us earlier this year and didnt get to experience the tour are my special moments.

'Shine a Light' (for Gottorollme - a song played at her funeral just two weeks earlier) winning the fan vote at  Chicago #2 and getting it's only performance at a show where so many people from this board got together (and ironically enough, 'Rocks Off' won the fan vote at Chicago #1!)

'Under The Boardwalk' (for Luxury) in Philadelphia - first appearance since 1965. A song which, as Eric recalled for us so wonderfully, had a special significance for her life and which was played on a night where he was in attendance with her family.

You couldnt script stuff like that. It was as if it was meant to be. Either that or someone in the Stones camp is reading this site and paying attention in a way that's beyond obsessive!

I was able to walk up to a stranger who was wearing the pin and we instantly connected. It was strange but really cool. I said, "It looks like we're both friends with Mary!"

I'm very tempted to argue that Bro Shugah has been the defining song of this tour. This very witty ol' ditty has been played balls-to-the-wall during almost all, if not all, performances, with Ronald being especially on form,  Michael seeming to delight in the band's cookingness and the audience interaction ('Turn the lights up, Patrick' etc.) and Bobby K blowing in a lovely blowy way. A typical example, filmed in  a jolly way...
